Budget?

Have a look here what fits your speaker budget then see what AVR options you get

Krell Evolution 900e x 7

Bose Jewel speakers.

Jealous of my speakers?

hi,
my budget would be around £600
i was looking at the
Denon AVR-X2000 7.1 network receiver
and the
Tannoy HTS 101 5.1 speakers
would the front speakers be wireless or have to be hooked up to the receiver on not
I was also wondering if tallboy speakers are any good?

thanks

Even if they're wireless they would need a power cable (active) I'd give up the idea of wireless speakers.

I do rate the Q Acoustics speakers highly but those are higher budget

Okay i will have a look at them more, i didn't really mean no power cable, i meant would there have to be a wire connecting the front seekers to the subwoofer or receiver at the back?
thanks again

Yes. It's not magic.

If they're active they'll need a power cable, and you might be able to transmit wirelessly.

If they're passive, they won't have a power cable but you'd need speaker cable to the speaker, and RCA to the sub. Some subs are wireless (audio) but need the power cable.

Give up your idea of wireless speakers.
