I have the def tech sm450 and they are a very good, well rounded speaker! Excellent bass for a smallish bookshelf!

I wouldn't pay list price for the Def Tech speakers (599.00), but for under 300/pr, they are a good buy! At that price, IMHO, they are better than comparably priced klipsch and Polk speakers!

I paid 249 for the pair ..
I think I got a good deal. I just hope those covers around them are removable.

The price just sky rocketed on these back up to $399 today guess I'm happy I got for $249.. ))

The one drawback
Is that the matching center can be hard to find and can be a bit pricey. You can always buy a second pair, and use one as the center, as the clr2002 will be at least 300 dollars!
