Home Party Speaker setup

Hey, my names Walter, could you give me some advice on choosing speakers, or recommendations?
I really like EDM, techno, dub step, stuff like this
and this
and this
All that being said, I'm looking for something that will play this party music loud--like club loud. Like blasting through the roof 'bumping' just extremely loud, in a basement space 20x 40ft approximately, 7-8ft ceiling. My estimate is I'll need a pair of 12-15inch subwoofers, and one or two tower speakers. The problem is I'm new to brands, I don't know what are good trusted models etc, whether i'll need an amp or any of that other fancy gear. I also don't know what type of wattage/amperage/ohmage or other technical specs I should be looking for. I looked at this brand called rockford and they have amazing amps. Could you correct my estimations and give me recommendations for a setup for A 500$ and B750$? Thank you so much. http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/10/what-dj-speakers/ I read this, and the impression I got is I could replace the tower speakers with a PA system, or a powered PA system. Since I also intend to use two sub woofers, which system would be better?(towerspeakers+subs;PA+amp+subs;Powered PA, Subs[would i need an amp for the subs]?

You are not going to get two 12-15 inch subs and 2 tower speakers for 500-750 dollars! Even used, that is a lot to expect...

So I've continued reading and I think the powered amp + subwoofers is probs the best decision but I'm not sure. I found this http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHB215XL and its like 220, But I'm not sure maybe I should get two? That would bring be up to 450*. If I could get a 12-15" sub around 300... or wait for something to go on sale around black friday/the holidays... maybe I could pull that off? What are your thoughts?

I would say the only option is a P/A style tapped horn sub. Best output for music, just get the biggest one you can afford. Then shop around craigslist for some old school massive speakers with decent efficiency. You can usually find a pair every now and then for 50 bucks. Get 2 pairs, put 1 in each corner with a cheapy AVR that has a lfe or sub out. Going to be over budget, but cheapest option you got for what you want. Also, start saving cause you'll want another sub when you see what they do.

Good Luck

The main issue is you have 6000 cu ft. to pressurize. Your second issue is you like bass heavy music. A 12" or 15" sub is not going to do that, especially for 300$. You should be thinking nothing less than this http://www.parts-express.com/cerwin-...oofer--246-406 as your starting point.

Might wanna give this website a try at some options for some louder club sound equipment

http://www.hollywooddj.com/clubprosystem.html.

Buying a powerful amp is going to be your problem with that $700 budget.

I would go to Guitar Center and see what they have in the way of used PA speakers. You are going to need a pair of big high powered speakers to fill that space, and even then, that is asking a lot.

I just played all three at the same time ... it sounded better.

You need a used DJ rig. Go to the pro audio forums ...

I worked there they mark everything up 150% and the used gear they get is repaired stuff that has bad transistors and will have future problems.
once in a blue moon someone returns something that isn't broke just used brutally and they use treatment on the guitars so they don't look as bad as they really are.

That's unfortunate, maybe it's your location? Our Guitar Center has heaps of used stuff, but I haven't inspected anything closely.

My musician buddy gets alot of his stuff used from his guitar center used and the stuff always performs great.

If you want some new stuff look at what Bic America has to offer with the
Bic RtR 1530, $160 shipped per speaker
Bic RtR-EV15, $207 shipped per speaker

Then add a stereo receiver/amp like Sherwood RX-4105 for $100 and you will have a set-up under or close to $500

I think I would go with Cerwin Vegas over Peavy judging by what you we're looking for in the description.
Try finding them used on http://www.musiciansfriend.com/
Either Cerwin-Vega CVP-2153
Or
Cerwin-Vega CVP-1152

Look for a used B52 Matrix 1000. It comes with a powered 15 inch sub ansd 2 10 inch speakers. You can pick them up on Craigslist for $500 to $600. Should give you plenty of output for your room.
