Question B&W vs Polk Audio

I have a pair of Polk Audio Monitor 70s that I am using for my fronts. I have 2 Dayton 15" 125 watt subs (I know, I know)! This is all being driven by a Yamaha RX-A 3020. I have never been real happy with my 2 channel stereo performance but I also knew my low end subs were mostly to blame. I have the opportunity to pick up a pair of B&W DM604 S2 speakers. If I slipped them in to my front positions, would there be a noticeable improvement? The asking price is $325.00. Is this a reasonable price?

Are you running the Monitor 70's as Large, or full range?

Subwoofer should not be active, in 2 channel mode.

I believe these speakers were released in 1999 and retailed for about $1600 ($325 is probably somewhat fair depending on condition). They're on the old side so you might want to figure out about how many hours they have on them as well as the physical condition. Any chance you can listen to them?
