Flat Panel Speakers or Soundbar

Hey guys im looking for some guidance on what to do. I have an 100' projector screen and thinking on either doing 3 flat panel lcr setup or a sound bar? Budget is around 400.00 and would buy used too.. Right now im leaning towards the BIC America FH56-BAR sound bar but was wondering if there would be something else i should take a glimpse at or do?

I need them to be thin because i have a short throw projector.

Soundbars- usually equal substandard drivers and no ability to changes distances between the L/R speaker and unless the soundbar is >8 foot long, they won't be have a the proper seperation between L/R. I own two soundbars and they are good for one thing- portability.
Flat panel speakers will represent less of a compromise, but my guess is they wont sound nearly as good as the same drivers in a traditional cabinet.
Klipsch, Def tech, B$W all make flat panel speakers....
