I just ran accross a pair of RT800i's for $300 from circuit city. They were part of a HD display and were on a discount shelf. Currently I was using a pair of Bose 301's as front channels which sat on the floor. Im contemplating selling the 301's and keeping the Polk's, got 30 days to decide. The sound is better but....

Here are my 2 questions:

anyone have opinion on the RT800i's for $300, are they worth it. They are a little scratched but the cones are all in good condition.

If selling my 301 series III what should I ask. I was thinking $150 would be fair. They are in good shape and I have never driven them very hard.

The RT800's retailed for approximately $760, so the price seems to be fair. I would say give them a try and see what you think, since you have the return policy to fall back on.

Agreed! This one's a no brainer really. I had a pair of Rt800i's before upgrading to the Lsi line. The RT's are a much better speaker than the Bose speakers, and for $300, you really are getting a great deal!

I got some junk scattered around the house...

$300 is a great deal for those. I run those same speakers because I was also able to get a good deal on them. They are certainly superior to the Bose units.

i'm happy with them so far, but I have to sell my bose. I called the local paper to place a classified add for them and they wanted too much money for the add in my opinion.

Anyone got any ideas on where to sell them?
