Question on Def Tech StudioMonitor 65s

I live in a town home so I wonder if these would be overkill or just plain to loud? Also Would using them in just 2 channel even for movie's be pretty awesome?

Loudness depends on the volume level you play back at. Your bass travels well through walls depending on construction, but I'd still prefer to add a sub and center beyond a 2.0 setup, even for just music but definitely for movies. Control of the volume is yours to manage....

@lovinthehd is correct, volume itself is completely controllable, where you run into issues when sharing a wall or space is Bass.

If you like DefTech's, the 65's would be my first choice for a bookshelf in a No Sub application, they are very full sounding.

*Warning* None of my suggestions, ideas or even thoughts have any WAF, in any way!
