What's the difference when it comes to:

Loudness (assuming we can compare the same speaker)

Depth
Clarity
Effect
Room filling etc...

If the speakers are of the same series most of it's qualities will be similar. Bipolar has a wider dispersion pattern and us often used to cover a greater area. It really depends on your application which is a better choice. For instance a bipolar might be a good choice for surrounds to cover a greater number of seats especially with more than one row. In movie theaters they use multiple speakers for surround speakers so the audience has good coverage. In homes that is often not possible and receivers are not configurable to do the processing for multiple surrounds so a bipolar speaker might be a good solution. A monopole might be better for more direct sound and usually the best choice for the front three speakers in a surround system.

For music some prefer bipolar designs for that greater envelopment, soundstage they can give but they often trade off some focus and imaging. Personal preference for music. I will say I don't know too many studios that use bipolar speakers but if you are not trying to reproduce material as intended then get speakers that are most enjoyable to you.

Loudness: Same, one being louder than another does not mean anything when you have a volume knob. If you're maxing out your speakers than you have the wrong setup for the room.

Depth: Bipolar but with the right placement and room treatment Monopole can sound as good or better.

Clarity: Monopole

Effect : Bipolar but with the right placement and room treatment Monopole can sound as good or better.

Room filling: Bipolar
