QSC vs. QSC vs. JBL

Hi guys!

I have one of those anoying decisions i have to make:

My room is 160 x 236 inches big. I am sitting about 120 inches from the screen in first row. I have a couple of JBL 4645C's for the sub area. I had some relocation plans, why i sold my old spakers - JBL 3252n's. So now i have to decide what i am going to purchase...

I have been looking at the JBL 4722n, QSC SC-2150 and the QSC SC-322. I am going for true high power, full range, cinema, huge headroom over the top kinda sound

I know it still is in the ears of the beholder and all that about the room treatment that comes into play. But what is your take on my choices ?

Thanks !

I had to look up those speakers--they're huge! The JBL 4645C sub has an 18" driver. The QSC SC-2150 has two 15" woofers, two 6.5" midranges, and a 1.4" compression tweeter. That should safely crush everything in your 13' x 20' room.

What's your target SPL at your seat? Plan to listen to music too? What kind?

Not the same, of course, but you might enjoy @imagic 's article Behringer B215XL Speakers: Home Economics on using budget PA speakers with 15"-woofer and a compression tweeters in a living room.

Desktop: Paradigm Mini Monitors, Velodyne VA 1012 sub, Acurus A150 amp, Forté Audio model 40 preamp
HT: Magnepan MG10, Rythmik F15 sub, Paradigm CC-350, Aventage RX-A2020 AVR, (temporary HTiB surrounds)
Work: JBL Invader 4.1 system (in 2.1 mode)

Ideally you should audition the speakers.

However, out of the choices I would pick the QSC SC-322. QSC have better dialogue intelligibility than the JBL, and the SC-2150 has crossovers in the middle of dialogue frequency.
