Left and Right upgrade

Currently i have s30 cambridge as my left and right and an sx70 centre, also a sub. I was thinking of going for cambridge sx60 and put my s30 in the back. However, the cheapest i see them currently is at $250 so it made me come here to ask you guys if thats a good choice or i can get better speakers for that price that will work nicely with the rest of my speakers.

The biggest difference with the SX60 would be the bass -- since you have a sub, I would get the SX50 for your surrounds

I was considering them as well but when i seen the sx60's i thought they could improve sound clarity a little. Right now i feel like the sx70 centre that i added is standing out a little and perhaps the sx60 would round it nicely. And then move the s30 to the back to kill it.
But its a 100 bucks difference right now which made me think if i could get even better speakers for that price(250$).
Not sure if the sx50 are a step up of the s30 but the sx60 im pretty sure would make a difference.

Are these better than the sx60? I am little hesistant of mixing the brands unless i can clearly get something better for around the cost of sx60(250$)

Yes, they will be -- Dennis the owner of Philharmonic Audio did a mod on the Cambridge S30 for me, and it was a clear difference.

However all in all, the SX60 for you will have a bigger radiation pattern over the the 50, and the soundstage and punch will be better. So, it may be worth it for you.

perhaps you heard anything about the cambridge aero 2? They cost the same and looks like they advertise them as a higher tier speaker. Thanks so much for your input, its greatly appreciated.

There has been some complaints about the BMR driver for the highest frequencies -- however, a lot of people seem to like them. I would still aim towards the SX60 between the 2 speakers -- your call
