Help replacing 2 Polk monitor 60's

Hello everyone, I currently need some advice on replacing my Cherry Polk Monitor 60 front channels. My current setup is 2 Polk Monitor 60's as fronts, 2 Polk Monitor 40's as surrounds, a Polk CS2 center channel, and an H100 BIC Acoustech sub. Everything was in great working condition when I last used them but I recently bought a new Oled TV and receiver a Denon S930H, and after pulling my 60's out of storage the right one seems to be blown. I currently do not have the budget to replace all of my speakers, and I only want to replace the two 60's for the time being. After looking around it seems that the newer version of the Polk 60's does not come in the cherry color anymore, which is what would match the rest of my speakers and furniture etc. So I am asking for suggestions for two front tower speakers, preferably in cherry color but I will take black if that's all that is available. My current budget is $300 or less for the pair and I am hoping I can find something that will pair nicely with what I already have. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Thanks a lot for all the input and links, really gives me something to think about. I am kinda tempted to just buy the 60's again off ebay.

You really think the 2 drivers will sound better in the 300's, than the 3 in the 60's?

I see S50s in walnut (not quite cherry, but maybe close enough) at $350 refurbs from Polk. Or in black, new at amazon at $400.

Over the OP's budget, but still in the same ballpark. Probably doable at $300 once a sale comes around.

If you contact Polk you should be able to get a replacement tweeter or woofer, whichever is roached.

I had considered that but am not too sure on how to test which one it is.

Yes a little better, it is not always about the driver count -- it is about the design/engineering as a whole. However, you stated you may pick up another set of the 60's and there is nothing wrong with that.

Well, if tweeter is blown, you'd probably notice that right away.

If woofer... remove them, put back one by one, see if they work?
Not entirely sure myself what is the easiest way. Also not sure if Polk would provide freebie drivers or not. Def Tech may, not sure about Polk, so moneywise it may be worth just buying new speakers.

If it's just one speaker that is messed up, why consider a pair of 60s? Why not just buy one? Or have they re-designed them so that the old one would be a weird pairing now?

If you can't fix it cheap or find a single that would work, it might be an opportunity to look for an upgrade overall. I'm not sure of the Polk rankings though... so not sure if signatures are an upgrade for you or not (assume they are).

Thank you again, thats good to know. I really like the look of the Tsi300, but would want to get the 400's probably, but they are outside of my budget. A new pair of 60's would be great or even 70's but mixing black front channels with the rest of my cherry colored speakers is making me second guess it.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I would not buy just one because they are cherry monitor 60's and they only come in black now. I will be trying to contact Polk but not sure if replacing the driver or tweeter is something worth doing. The speaker is very low sounding like it is not being driver correctly but I have hooked it up to my old receiver and new receiver and it is not making much sound compared to others, I'm guessing the tweeter has gone out.

It may be worth checking your local craigslist... someone may be selling a cherry monitor 60... you never know.
