Speaker Placement vs. Screen Width?

So, I have 166" of width to work with in the front of my room. I'm replacing my 55" TV with a projector. I was hoping to fit a 16:9, 135" diagonal (117" wide) screen in the room. That puts the center cone of my speakers about 20" from the side walls. My understanding is that I should be aiming for more like 36" from the side walls. That would leave me more like an 85" screen.

My room is used for more music (including surround music and concert videos).

So, what do y'all think? What's the largest screen size I can get without sacrificing too much sound quality?

Thanks!!

Actually, I do plan to go with an AT screen because I plan to place my center speaker behind the screen. But, the screen will only be about 13" out from the wall so getting my main speakers (Salk SongTowers) behind the screen won't be possible. Plus, they are such beautiful speakers that the thought of hiding them behind the screen pains me. :)
