I noticed that the Athena audition series speakers at best buy are now about 50% more expensive than they were like yeterday. Does anyone know how often best buy puts these on good sales? or will the price likely stay around the prices they are at right now? I ordered two as-f1's with plans to order 2 as-b1's and an as-c1 soon, but the price shot up! Any ideas?

it was probably a mistake, the same thing happened a week or 2 ago, and the prices were changed back the next day...

Could be they have to have X number of days at a certain price to advertise the "sale" price.

The second generation Audition series have been due to come out any day, and maybe the price increase is due to that. I would think that could cause it, but then again, BB does some Crazy-Go-Nuts stuff.

How do you go low? A SVS PB10-isd and a Cerwin Vega LW-15, that's how I go

They get them REALLY inexpensively and API sets a very high list price.

I think it would be generally more useful if everyone new to these forums is reminded that they are constantly being marketed to and pitched by people who post their affiliations and many others who do not. This is all part of marketing and advertising and you, the consumer, are the targets.

I once saw a receiver at Best Buy that had a picture of the receiver turned around below it to show the connections on the back, but it was a wide shot that had the shelf that it was sitting on in the picture, including the previous price tag. The best part was the fact that the current price tag had a big prinout next to it saying it was on sale, but if you looked in the picture it was $30 cheaper when the picture was taken. It gave me a laugh. Prices fluctuate based on what Best Buy is selling them for. Sometimes mistakes happen when the updated sales numbers are uploaded into the inventory computer, and other times the price just goes up.

Often prices drop to reflect a competitors sale price. This helps with price matching.

I noticed that too. Now the B1s went down today, but not to where they were Monday. The C1s are now sold out on their website. Check back tomorrow, maybe the prices will change again and the C1s will be back in stock.
