New concept for a series that replaces the Signature perhaps? Looks interesting.

That's my guess. With bigger woofers and beryllium tweeter, I would say Sig replacement.

The woofers are active --built in amps from Anthem and includes ARC. Similar to Kef's Blade, I would guess this is more like a flagship above the Sig.

Oh goody. Electronics stuffed in a speaker cabinet just waiting to fail. Then the chariot turns into a brick.

I'm betting a pair of these speakers would cost
Some MAJOR bucks!

Probably make a pair of Sig 8's look like a bargain!

Paradigm is definitely moving up market.
I am glad I grabbed a pair of v3 S6s a couple of weeks ago while they're still available.
I bet these concepts will sound amazing though!

I am looking at possible buying a used pair of Paradigm Titans. I would prefer the version that is front ported as they will be set on a bookshelf.

Can someone explain the diffrent versions of the Titan line? v1, v2, v3, etc? I know v5 has is front ported, as I have seen photos, but at what version did that change from rear to front port?

Also I see alot of v2 on ebay for around $100-$150. How old are these speakers? Are the newer verisons that much better? Will the rear port sound that funny in a book case? Thanks.

Can't speak much about the different Titan versions, but,
If you are going to put them in a bookcase you really
Should get front ported!

Hi,

I currently have a Studio v.3 system (20s and 490 in front), and was considering now replacing the 490 with the new 55C. Anyone have thoughts about how well this will blend in with my current system, if I might not replace the rest of the speakers for a while? Thanks!

The 20's are a fabulous speaker and even though I use them in a surround capacity, I would believe that they will go nicely with the 55C. I have a 690 and they match well with that and the 55C is supposed to match as well with previous generations as the 690.

OK guys, the new in walls are throwing me through a bit of a loop here. For my dedicated theater space the plan was to buy 3 of the AMS LCR and 4 of the AMS-100 for my in ceiling rear/surrounds.

They are all being replaced.

Now I am deciding between the H65-SM vs the H65-R for surround/rear speakers. Are we gaining anything by going with the 'dual directional soundfield?'

As for the fronts/center I will probably go with the Pro series. E80-IW. Unless you guys really think that $600 is worth it to step up to the elite?

I wish I could help you but I have no experience with in walls or on walls. Looking at the specs I would say that it might not be worth the extra cost but you would have to give a listen to ultimately make that choice. I didn't audition my S8s, C5, ADP3s or S2s before I bought but... I had heard S6s before so I knew what I was in for so I figured I would probably regret it more if I got S6s instead of S6s instead of saving more and getting S6s. I saved long enough that even know a good amount more, I'm not left with that "what if" or I should have" feeling. However, I am second guessing my ADP3 purchase due to Atmos but since it will be a while before I go to Atmos and a new house later I can deal with it. I would like a second Sub 2 though...

Interesting, Studio design meets space age look...it did not mention if they were powered or not as they are working on a signature powered unit as well.

BTW, who buys these ridiculously priced systems and the cables with some of them...

It does mention this on the Paradigm website. Four powered woofers, passive midrange and tweeter. This is likely the speaker you are referring to.

Thanks for the reply.

I think that I am going to go with the pro series. You're right, based on the spec sheet there really does not look like a $600 difference.

Thanks!

I'm cautious to buy the prestige center since I want the sound to match my Studio 60's.
Have you made any progress with this? I am in the exact same situation actually (same piano black). I was on the fence between getting a 3rd studio 60 as centre or CC 490 initially. The centre channel will be below a wall mounted TV which is pretty high up (see pic).

Paradigm tells me the prestige line is timbre matched to studio, would be interested if you had a chance to listen to this somehow.

Assuming I have no luck with Studio series, any thoughts on which would be the best centre between Prestige 75F, 45C, or 15B when off axis performance is important?

Matching Center for Studio 100 v3?

I am in the process of setting up a dedicated HT room in the basement and going to use my Studio 100's (v3) for fronts. The viewing area is roughly 18 ft x 12 ft.

I was trying to find a matching center to go with the 100's and am seeing all kinds of recommendations. Price is a factor for me, the HT budget is one part of the entire basement finishing budget

Any recommendations for a decent center that I can find in the used marketplace?
