Congrats! Always wanted to check them out but I got S8s instead due to matching surrounds, center, etc...

It will be used for 2 channel audio, so I wasn't concerned about matching the timbre.

Is anyone impressed by the Prestige series? I auditioned a pair of 95f and 55c a couple weeks ago, and thought they were crunchier and not as neutral as the Studio 100 and CC-690 v5. They seemed to go a little deeper, but that was the only thing I liked over the Studios. Pretty disappointed, as I had my eyes on Studios for 4-5 years, and when I was finally able to buy this year I found out they were discontinued and very hard to find (especially the CC-690 v5).

My bedroom system got upgraded for the better!

Recently my wife inherited some pretty nice antique
Furniture and she "re-purposed" a spare bedroom and
Evicted all my electronics. All of a sudden I have a nice pair
Of Ascend Acoustics Sierra One speakers gathering dust.

In my master bedroom I've been running a 3.2 system using
The Impressive (to me) Paradigm SE bookshelf and center channel
Speakers. In my 2channel rig I have the Paradigm Studio 40's v4.
I decided to move the 40's into the bedroom and use the SE bookshelves
As surrounds. At first I was worried about the front 3 not timbre matching.
This was definitely not the case. If you are not familiar with the SE
Speakers they use Studio series drivers and crossovers inside of
Gussied up Monitor cabinets. I wondered which components are used
In the SE series...v4 or V5? The SE's were introduced the same time
As the Studio V5's. Maybe I will call Paradigm?

Now the set-up isn't ideal, I have my TV on top of a large chest
Of drawers and the 40's flank the dresser which is in a corner.
The room is 15x12. I have 2 subs, a SVS SB2000 and the lowly
Paradigm PDR10. Powered by a Marantz SR5003. Sources are
Directv, Apple TV3, and an Oppo 980h DVD/SACD player.
1st couple of movies I watched put a big grin on my face
(Not so much the wife though). The sound is very clean, clear and
BIG! I can close the room off completely (unlike my main system)
And when I do the pair of subs really have a great tactile feel.

The Sierra Ones are now used in my 2 channel rig.
