I was going to buy a sub 1. But heard it and wasn't impressed. I have Seaton Submersives and for the money hard to beat

There are three holes on the back, none appear threaded, there's mention of a 60mm bracket on the back of the speaker, but all I can find is the MB60 for the wall and the LS-30 stands, for them, but I can't find any reference to how they actually attach. Anyone know?
I had some Cinema 90s wall mounted with the MB40 brackets at one time. I assume that the mechanics are the same for the 70s & mounts you're looking at. The MB40 mounts come with self threading screws that go into the unthreaded holes on the back of the speaker. I think you'd be fine with either one of those mounting options. The Cinema series speakers are pretty light. It worked well for me. Good luck.

In speaking with Paradigm, the CI Elite line is the recommended one to match the Prestige. So thinking about the E-80A or E-80R for ATMOS. Am I correct in assuming the A model with "guided soundfield" is really more aiming and bouncing sounds off of walls? Any other advantages to the A model vs. R? My space is really crummy - asymmetric - so I'll be lucky if I can get the "right-hand" speaker more than 12" from the wall as recommended. It'll be tight. The "left-hand" speaker no issues with a wall.

Compare Studio 60 v5 vs. Prestige 75F

I'm looking to purchase a used pair of Studio 60 v5's in excellent condition or a new pair of Prestige 75F speakers.

Would most people here consider the 60 v5's a comparable speaker or just a better buy at 1/2 the cost of the 75F's.

In speakers, as in everything else in life there is a point of diminishing returns for the amount of extra money you want to spend.

I will be upgrading my original Studio 40 v2's with Studio Reference CC. My only problem is that most speakers that I have heard so far even in the $3000 range (haven't heard the 60's or the Prestige line yet), to my ears don't justify me getting rid of my Studio 40 v2's. One of the reasons I have had them so long ( in Rosenut) and in perfect condition for so many years, is that I haven't seen or heard anything that makes me want to jump.

Thanks

Hi, a quick poll to see if anyone is using Atmos modules on top of their Studio 100 speakers and if so which models? I see Martin Logan has some modules now available, anyone using those?

New Paradigm Flagship Called Persona Series

So I didn't see this posted anywhere (forgive me if it already was). There has been a lot of talk about what Paradigm will be doing with their high end speaker lines. The Prestige has already essentially replaced the Studio line and Paradigm has been demoing a new "Concept 4F" speaker over the past year that is a cost no object assault on the high end. It has also been confirmed that the Signature series (as we know it) will be terminated as well and a new higher end series will become the new flagship. Well now we know what that new series will be called: The Persona Series.

Paradigm has been going around to select dealers informing them on their new product launches this coming year. The new Persona series will range in price from ~$9000 -$$35000 for the flagship tower speaker. It will consist of 4 floorstanding speakers (names are TBD but price range should be $35K, $25K, $17K, and ~$10K), a center speaker, and a single bookshelf (~$9000). The release date is expected well before the end of year so I would expect a "soft" launch around CEDIA time at the latest.

All the information I mentioned can be seen in this video from a Paradigm presentation to Wilson Audio:

This is great news to finally get some concrete information on this but it begs one major question. If the signature series is gone, what will be its replacement? Right now the Prestige tops out at $5000 and this new Persona line tops out at $35000. That's a huge $30000 gap between lines which is unheard of. There will clearly be something to fill that gap that will top out in the $12K-$15K range but unfortunately there was no mention of a new line below the Persona (at least not this year). The Persona line seems great but it's likely well out of my price range. A new Signature priced series with the new looks and finish of Paradigms latest speakers and improved performance over the old Signature series would be just what the doctor ordered. Here's to hoping

Well, its not like the value proposition was still there when they launched the prestige series. 35k there are so many competitors in the price range.

Here is the concept speaker

I have to agree with this..and as the owner of
A dozen Paradigm speakers they may have priced
Themselves out of my budget. I do expect many more
Years of service from my speakers though.

I will be looking at ID brands, namely Salk and Ascend Acoustics.

Edit-Always wanted a pair of Sig 2's with the Be tweeter.
Maybe I could score a pair at a decent price soon.

Anybody have experience replacing/repairing drivers with Paradigm? I have a non-working midrange in one of my Studio 100 v5's and am starting to explore my options. Thanks in advance!

I replaced the midrange driver on my Studio 40. It was
Pretty simple and took me about 10 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. I'm more interested in the cost of replacing/repairing drivers directly with Paradigm. I've already got it opened up to test the drivers and crossover, so that part of the job is a non-issue for me.

If I recall correctly the replacement drivers were about
$80 each.

Well that would be epic, but I'm sure this midrange will set me back quite a bit further than that. DALI wanted $680 for one of their 6.5" Euphonia drivers. I sent Paradigm an email, so I'll wait to hear what they come back with.

Why would you want to use a DALI driver in your Paradigm
Speakers?

Why do you think it's going to set you back so much
Money?

I just called Paradigm and told them I had a bad midrange
Driver. Got it in less than a week.

Hilarious. I had a DALI center channel that needed a new driver, so I was just using it as a point of comparison. I ended up getting my damaged driver repaired locally instead. I'm certain the Paradigm will be more affordable, but I can't imagine it being less than $275 or so. $40 would be amazing, but I ain't holding my breath.
