Randall,

CONGRATS to you and your wife!!! Happy times ahead!

It's been quiet, just busy. Keep us posted on your TV experiences. We'll probably be looking next year.

Thanks! Healthy little girl.

Question about Audyssey, does distance really matter on setting up rear surround speakers? Or will Audyssey correct everything? Wife is wanting to change things around and wanting to move the speakers around. They'd be probably 18' away from the TV and 12+ feet away from the seating location, maybe even further.

The usual problem with rears is having them too close due to room limitations. Your's will be quite far, so not an issue, Audyssey should set the distances and trims correctly.

Congrats on your little girl! Can't ask for more than a healthy kid, always Awesome!

That's great Randall congrats!

What kind of TV are you looking at? I have been eyeing this and that.

Also, I have been contemplating building up these and comparing them against my NHT Classic Twos. Just thought it would be a fun project. I'll probably paint them gloss black. The sensitivity and specs are similar but the price is just astonishing.

Gear: Pioneer VSX-1124-K, NHT Classic Three (L/R), Classic Two (rear) TwoC (center).
PSA V1500 (x2)
HTPC/server (Emby), Fire TV Stick, Chromecast
OTA Winegard HD7698P
Sharp LC-60SQ15U (HCFR calibrated)
