Between these two speakers I'd probably go for the 240's. Reason being you already have 2 sb-2000's. Your front pair will not be called upon to produce much of any low bass so imho any advantage of getting the 250's would be non consequential .

I have the Diamond 225's in a somewhat larger room and mated with a capable sub, probably going to be a Rythmik lv12r, I'm sure the results will be very good.

My room is 10x13. I would guess your room is a bit too small for the 250 also. Keep in mind the speakers are about 15 inches in depth, and require about 8 inches of space from the back wall. And at least 2 meters apart from each other. So it's not just about the size of the speakers, but also the space around the speakers that matter also.

I purchased the Reva 2's on Black Friday, taking advantage of the 40% off sale plus 0% financing for 12 months. They arrived Thursday and I've been listening to them a lot since to get them broken in. So far I'm very impressed, they sound great and look gorgeous!

you might be right. distance between each speaker is not a problem cause i have 100'' screen but placing them in the corner could be an issue for me. I installed bass trap recently.

I have some more photos of the speakers I took while unboxing them, but I need to take more now that they're all setup. I'm at work right now, but I'll do that soon.

The rest of my 2.1 setup is as follows:

Cambridge Audio 651R
Cambridge Audio 752BD
Music Hall MMF - 5.1
Cambridge Audio 651P
Boston Acoustics MSub

For now here are a few more pics of the Reva 2.

Sexy! Love the woodgrain! What speakers were you using prior to these?

Does anyone have the Diamond 10.7? How do you like it for music? I'm looking at getting a pair and at the current price of $699/pair, they seems like an absolute steal.

My main concern is that I'm coming from a pair of Martin Logan LX16s which have ribbon tweeters, and that the 10.7s are going to loose a lot of that high frequency clarity. Thoughts?

Main System: 65'' Samsung KS8000, Martin Logan LX16s, Martin Logan Dynamo 300, Marantz NR1403

Desk System: Cambridge Audio S30s, Yamaha RX-V471

I have these in my office for music and they are great. Can't beat them for that price.

Hello Wharfedale owners. I am out to buy speakers for my 15x15 HW family room.
I have Yamaha RX-V679 receiver. I intend to use it for mostly music and some TV. Maybe will make it into HT later but for now need 2 speakers for music.
So the question is should I get
1) Diamond 10.7 ($700/pr on sale)
2) Diamond 240 ($1000/pr)
3) Diamond 225 ( $379/pr) + a sub ($400)

is 10.7 similar to 240 that I don't have to get 240?

I am assuming someone here must have "upgraded" from 10.7 to 240s

Thanks
