Sweet, 70% discount is nice. Employee discount i'm assuming?

Honestly, if you can swing the ST-L's, I personally think they are head and shoulders above 8080ST's. Better drivers, better cabinet, better bass-amp. They also have a better -3db and -6db than the SC6000. Still, I think they'd benefit from a sub. The only thing that the 8080/8060's have over the ST-L is bi-polar sound if that really is a necessity. Personally, I've never like bi-polar for my front soundstage but everyone's preferences are difference of course.

This. The PSA XV15 (the original) was measured -3db at 21hz. That's ridiculous, especially consider how inexpensive it is.

Sweet, I worked for Magnolia for a while too and took full advantage of the accommodations . Realistically, I don't know that Magnolia sells anything that will really give you much over the sub capabilities of your ST-L's. Maybe the MartinLogan BalancedForce 210/212 with their PBK. If they still give the 75% off they did while I was there, it's a reasonable option. I *think* stereophile measured 20-160hz +/-2 db but don't quote me on that.

ill have to check i think the only accommodations going on are def tech and b & w

the 210 would be more up my alley than the 212

Just as an experiment I bridged my Mono-Block's over the weekend, went from 125w to 320w on my mids for my BP2000's, they really do like the extra power, just makes them even cleaner and more airy, to me it's the difference between New and Broken In, they just sound so much more free and open.

Yestrrday talking about bpvx's :-)
There's s set on Ebay that just came up last night. Infact they used to be my height channels there in great condition he just bought them from me about 6 months not sure why he's selling. I have to ask he's s good friend of mine.

Unknown user if your looking for set there you go. Just cause there not new don't let that steer you away from them. They will sound yhevse as new many people here have bought used. Bpvx's don't come up very often :/)

I used to use bpvx's as height channels I rescently changed yo sm450's since there direct radiating.
Honestly I think height channels should be direct radiating over bipolar :grinning:

I'm doing well James, still love the CLR3000! You are right that BPVX's do not come up often. All of my Def Techs came used but look new. Don't be afraid to buy in the used market. Just be patient and chosey.

Yep those are it I bought new from baja about a year ago. My friend has had them for about 3 months and is now doing what I did replacing them with sm450's where we used them as rear surrounds. Perfect condition :-)

Before I go to Baja to buy one, does anyone have a single SM-65 they'd like to trade for a pair SM-45's?

PM me if so.
