In my case I have:
RC-70 as Mains
RC-LCR as Center
4 RC-Mini as Surrounds
2 Dayton Audio UM18-22 as main bass
1 iNUKE NU6000DSP to power the bass
Also and hope is not to much to ask, can someone with UM18 / iNUKE NU6000DSP share a couple screen settings so in my case and maybe othes too can have better settings.
In my case I in receiver I have 0db for bass but in the inuke control nob is around 14, so I think that is to much, but I really don't know the correct settings and maybe is set that way because I'm missing something in the inuke settings and is the main reason to ask..
Attached is a a picture from my speakers with a 110 screen.
Thanks in advance...
A lot of factors have to be considered in finding the best crossover. Placement and room modes, speaker range, amplifier power and personal preference among them.
The best set it and forget it advice is to just go with THX guidelines and set all crossovers to 80hz. This will reduce the power demand on your avr/amp, allowing it to play louder and cleaner.
If you want to expirement, for the LCR you will not want to go lower than 60Hz. The RC-70's should e good down to 40Hz or maybe even 30 depending on room/placement.
For your ultimax'es did you already set up the DSP parameters and limiter? My UM18's are sealed, but it looks like yours ar slot ported. If you don't have the limiter set up on the inuke, you could damage the drivers. BTW, I really didn't get top performance out of my 18's until I put a Minidsp on them. The inuke dsp really isn't sufficient to tune the lowest octaves (5-15hz range).
BTW, what receiver are you using and are you using it's room eq?
