THANKS!!
I have a pair of RC-70s in Queens, N.Y. PM me if interested.

As you said they are hard to find, can you or someone recommend another more easy to find that can math (or be close) to my two tower RC-70 and my RC-LCR Center?

Thanks again..

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can be so kind and share with us the best crossover frequency setting that works better in those RC-70/RC-LCR, so people like me can have better settings for those speakers.

In my case I have:
RC-70 as Mains
RC-LCR as Center
4 RC-Mini as Surrounds
2 Dayton Audio UM18-22 as main bass
1 iNUKE NU6000DSP to power the bass

Also and hope is not to much to ask, can someone with UM18 / iNUKE NU6000DSP share a couple screen settings so in my case and maybe othes too can have better settings.

In my case I in receiver I have 0db for bass but in the inuke control nob is around 14, so I think that is to much, but I really don't know the correct settings and maybe is set that way because I'm missing something in the inuke settings and is the main reason to ask..

Attached is a a picture from my speakers with a 110 screen.

Thanks in advance...

A lot of factors have to be considered in finding the best crossover. Placement and room modes, speaker range, amplifier power and personal preference among them.

The best set it and forget it advice is to just go with THX guidelines and set all crossovers to 80hz. This will reduce the power demand on your avr/amp, allowing it to play louder and cleaner.

If you want to expirement, for the LCR you will not want to go lower than 60Hz. The RC-70's should e good down to 40Hz or maybe even 30 depending on room/placement.

For your ultimax'es did you already set up the DSP parameters and limiter? My UM18's are sealed, but it looks like yours ar slot ported. If you don't have the limiter set up on the inuke, you could damage the drivers. BTW, I really didn't get top performance out of my 18's until I put a Minidsp on them. The inuke dsp really isn't sufficient to tune the lowest octaves (5-15hz range).

BTW, what receiver are you using and are you using it's room eq?

Sony XBR-75Z9D | Oppo BDP-203 and 103D | UBD-K8500
Mirage OMD-28 (LR) | OMD-C2 (C) | OMD-5 (SS, FH, RH)
Yamaha CX-A5100 | NAD T973 x 2
SVS PB12Plus/2 | Dayton UM18-22 Sealed x2 w/ iNuke 6000DSP
Monster Power HTPS 2000

Thanks for you answer,

I did the change for RC-70 down to 40Hz, LCR to 60Hz and Surrounds leave in 80Hz.

For my ultimax'es the settings, first I have to confess, I'm total noob ++ in that area, so the settings I have I got it searching in AVS Forum, so nothing personalized.

I'll attaching all my settings screens, I feel is too low in volume, to get decent bass I have to move up the nob in the amp or up the db for the sub-woofer in the Receiver.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks,
Bourdier

I forgot to add, my receiver is a Sony 7.2ch Model STR-DH750, for calibration it uses Sony the Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC)
