1) if anyone has any leads on an Rosenut MKI C200 that would be very helpful

2) Djoel - based on your experience with Dali do you think that it would benefit me to call them and see if they have one tucked away somewhere? If so, how did you contact them?

BTW, thanks to all for the info you provided over the past 12+ months of my speaker search...

Welcome to the club with your new 400MK1, and in my favorite color too
They was a pair on Agon that look a bit richer & darker than mine, in impeccable condition. And man do they photograph beautiful..Hope you got those.

I would definitely give them a call, they'll work with your local dealer though, not direct.
But if that fails you should be ok with a pair of MKII version, that's what I'm using with no sign of sonic difference between the two versions.

Good luck and keep us posted..

All Phantoms come with a vacuum formed, plastic paint mask, which makes it easy to spray the housing and grills the color of your room, without getting paint on the drivers or baffle. The Phantom Phrame can be sprayed prior to mounting and prior to mounting the Phantom to it.

Sweet!

I use the Euphonia Phantoms in my ceiling (directly aligned over my seating position for the ribbons) and they are spectacular.

This will help people in special situations very nicely.

Go Dali...

Same here. I've been thinking about the RS3 for quite sometime now to round out my MS4,CS4, but this is a better alternate for me. I would get the frame for an on-wall mounting. Anyone know what the frame costs?

I've been using the Von Schweikert TS350 dipole for surrounds and have been hesitant to replace them with direct firing speakers cause I love the VS's diffused sound.

Glad you guys are enjoying your Dali's. Have had mine since late 2003 and it's still bringing a smile to my face.

Cary & Dali great combination, I'm hoping that's the direction for me in the not so distant future.

Jose,

I think you'll like the sound of the Euphonia Phantom more than the RS3 and it will save you a little $$$. Before you decide, go have a listen.

Very nice!
Any problems with unwanted reflections from the speaker being that close to the side wall? My left surround channel would be situated the same way. Being a direct speaker, it would probably be less of an issue than a dipole...

I find being mated with a Sim Audio Titan is even better. They're a great match together.

The Dali's are very amp friendly and sound great with most quality amps that are not underpowered. That's one of the many great characteristics of the Dali's...

This is what I'm using, 2500-7 with Helicon 400s, and C200 center. Really enjoying the combo, just waiting to add Dali surrounds.

My W200 arrived to my dealer last week in cherry finished, my dealer called Dali right away to return the surround speakers, and correct the problem.
Now Dali is sending a pair in Rosenut straight from Denmark to my dealer, so it should be another week or so.

OK, so what amp would you guys recommend for Helicon 800's MKII and C200 MKII? 5 channel, 4ohm (obviously), no big budget, 2K at most until I upgrade to something better. I see no problem with used gear (audiogon). Thanks

I also would go with the Sunfire, had a 5 channel amp that really love for it's smooth midrange.
Also used Anthem amps 5 ch & 2 ch which I thought sounded mediocre in fact I compared it to my friends Sony AVR , very robust receiver and we couldn't tell the difference.

I would also add Gemstone to the list. I myself run the Gemstone with the helicon 400's upfront and the C200 plus Energy Veritas as side surrounds. Besides being a very powerful amp(400 watts at 4 ohms) it mates really well with the Dali's.

There are quite a few people who have used the Gemstone with the Dalis and the combination is a killer. In fact Gemstone paired with the Helicon 800's was at the very top pile of an amp shootout they did a few years ago here at AVS matching amps that cost 8-10k.

Two amps I've used with the Dali's that might fit your needs are the Gemstone as Daman has suggested and also the Sherbourn. I've read where the MKII's for some listeners have a bit of sparkle on the top end and the Sherbourn adds a tad of warmth in the output, so I'd like to listen to that combination again.

I've never used the Parasound's but I have read nothing but good things about them. I'd probably love to try the JC1's.

I have a Sherbourn (7-2100A) that I've bridged 6 channels into 3 (at least 400W per) for my Mentor 8 & Mentor Vokal. It isn't too bright at all--very smooth, and completely easy to listen to. Very detailed without abrasion! I can really pump them up and not get fatigue. The Sherbourn is an affordable, extremely reliable amp in my experience.
