Radio81, those look good; like they were originally Raw Birch.

If they sound fine, go for it; looks like some work has been done on the Crossover, but not completely re-built, which you should do sooner, rather than later.

I know I read it just want to be sure, I'm still looking for a good deals on RB or RS.

I had to refund the buyer's money plus shipping and in the end let him keep the thing. It weighed a ton so it cost me about $70 to ship to him; I didn't want to pay another $70 to get the broken POS back. Basically, I paid $70 to give the thing away. I don't doubt that It was broken, I'm just pissed at Onkyo because that's two of two of their receivers that have died on me.

I purchased a new Onkyo TX-SR 805 back in Jan 2008 or so when it was being advertized as a Great 130X7 HD AVr, it's display lights failed in the first 4 months then two different HDMI boards failed. The last one that failed was after it's warranty had expired. It spent more time at the repair center then it did at home. My Klipsch HT system really sounded great with good reserve power for a under $1,500.00 AVR. But it ran HOT from day one and after the 1st HDMI fried I added a fan at the rear of the shelf and it had 8" of open space above all it's life.I never stack on a amp or AVR. After that I purchased a NIB left over Yamaha RX-V1900 (same specs at 805)at a local best Buy with extra 2 year warranty so if it failed I drive up the street and hand it to them, I don't have to deal with the factories Customer Service or pay for freight etc. and it has been a gem for the last 5 years.YMMV on the newer Onkyo but there is a Onkyo 805 thread on several music forums that have hundreds of horror posts about this model.

i have yet to see a yammie amp fail .. the only amp that failed was my sw-800 which i have for 14 years now and it was due to the design of the auto-on circuitry that it failed. according to yamaha i shouldn't have put it on home-domotica cutting the power off. it did work for about 4 years like that flawless though. i had it repaired and while it was in the official yammie repaircenter they fitted some leftover higher current mosfets in it, which they had lying around at no extra cost coz i told em i like playing loud and it might have been that that was the problem, they assured me they never had a failing amp due to normal use there. the thing is 1000W RMS now and i can't even turn it up above 50% volume coz it'll ruin my interior. i had yammie amps for over 20 years now and none of the 4 models ever failed and i really abused them on a daily basis. 2 of em are 15+ years old. my sisters husband has one for about 18 years now and this also works like it's brand new. needless to say the onkyo stuff is cheap and crap, it proven that many times. please don't shoot ! :D (putting the pink bulletproof tanktop on while typing this hehe)

The crossover update already done is all you need, with the new caps. Great price!!

Will those hold an RS-62 II?
They're able to support the RS-62II's weight, but you'd need to check the speaker's threaded insert spacing and compare it to the speaker bracket's drawing to make sure.

Hey guys, i have marantz sr7007 powering a Klipsch Rf-62 II system (eith klipsch recommended center and rears). What would be a good way to add extra powers to the two towers? Is it even worth it with sr7007?

Some people add an external amp; but, unless you listen very high, you should be ok without.

Others, please chime in; I have but little experience with the Reference line.

As always, ymmv.

Ok so I got my speakers today. (for those who don't want to scroll up a few pages, 62ii floorstanding mains, RC 62ii center, four RB51ii surrounds). The surrounds are really a huge improvement over what I had. The floorstanding speakers are a lot smaller than my Cerwin Vega D9's, but honestly not the drastic improvement I was hoping for. The vegas do music way better still even for a 40 year old speaker so i'll just have to suck that up. The center channel speaker was .....heh....bigger than I expected. Center and the receiver doesn't fit, so as soon as my Denon X3100W is released I'm probably going for an architectural redesign.
