RF-7iis with RC-62?

So I am ordering a pair of RF-7iis tomorrow to replace my RF-82s which will go to surround duty as the HT is being retooled for ATMOS. I currently have the RC-62 centre. Wasn't planning on upgrading to the RC-64 right away. So I guess the question is should I just do it at the same time or will it be okay to wait a bit to get the RC-64. I love the RC-62 but worried it may be mismatched.

Any input would be appreciated.

Mike

Of course the 64 will sound better, but if it's easier to wait I'm sure you'll be fine temporarily running the 62. What's the worst that can happen? It doesn't sound as good?

The RC-64 isn't being discontinued anytime soon so I wouldn't worry about a mismatch. Try them together for awhile and then make that decision. What are you going to use for your Height/Top speakers for Atmos?

Not bad, although no grille or factory box and it's local pick up only. Makes me suspicious calling it new, especially when the top and bottom edges are beat to hell.

Yea after owning the RF52II's at first then convincing my wife I needed to step up to the 62II's she thought they were much bigger. Then after 6 months I scored a killer deal on some 7II's. After I came home with them I left them in my SUV and went into the house to ask my wife to help me carry them in. I warned her that even I didn't realize they were that big until I first saw them. She walked out to the truck to help carry them in and took one look at the boxes and almost shet her pants lol. Funny thing is she helped me get them out of the boxes and set them up. She's a keeper hee hee.

I did just that and I didn't like the results. So I ended up with 4 RF-7IIs!

I'll explain.

I placed my RF-82II as side surrounds as LARGE. (Full range) I didn't like difference when sound from the RF-7II goes to the RF-82II. Then I tried the SMALL setting for the RF-82II. Nope. Not going to work. Having the RF-82II work as an RS series speaker is not going to cut it. I wanted full range surround speakers. So I decided on another pair of RF-7IIs as full range surrounds. WOW!! Huge difference!!
