I was finally able to install the RB-41 II's and RB-51 II's I bought a couple of weeks ago...wanted to experiment with FH's...these are my impressions. I positioned them at a height of 7 feet above and just inside my 82's and angled them down at my MLP. I installed the 41's first with 3" long wood screws into studs using the speaker's built-in keyhole and extending the screw to attain the angle I needed. I then reconfigured my AVR for 7.2, ran Audyssey, and played with Dolby Pro Logic IIz Height and Audyssey DSX listening modes. Using and alternating both listening modes with various movies and music, my preference is DSX as it sounded more natural to my ears. My understanding is IIz is more suited for game content. I then repeated this exercise with the 51's.

My overall experience puts me in the camp of: It's a very nice "subtle" effect in that FH's do indeed broaden the front sound stage. The degree and the effectiveness depend on the source material that is used to upmix the content. I did not notice a great deal of difference between the 41's and 51's for FH use. The 51's were a bit louder but adjusting the 41's trim up a bit accomplished the same effect. From my experience, smalll/medium FH speakers are more than capable of handling the upmixed FH material...timbre matching could be more important...YMMV. In conclusion, for me, FH's are a nice to have rather than a must have. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate FW's.

Now, I will be directing my attention to Dolby Atmos...which I believe will be more of a game changer.

Unfortunately, they do not have such deal or at least I do not see one

They do offer the three speakers package for $3677.00 which is pretty good but no free RC-64. It is 20% off. I am thinking of buying from them but I am also tempted to wait. There is a chance that these last remnants of Reference II series will be replaced later this year and there will be a better deal (40% like what happened to other speakers in Reference II line).

Yeah r112sw goes for 649 msrp, so pretty good deal for 400. I was on a budget so that's why I went with r12sw, but it packs a huge punch for the price. Btw, the r112sw is supposed to come with wireless receiver so you shouldn't need to buy one.

I think if/when the current RF-7's are replaced and discounted I will turn the RF-82's into FW's and do a 9.2.4? Necessary? Absolutely not. Awesome? Oh yeah

The R12SW is for the base Reference line, available at BB. The R-112SW is part of the new Reference Premiere line, not available at BB. Plus the 112SW is 15lbs heavier so it has to be better, right?

Edit: Underneath the sarcasm, I would get the R-112SW. The lowest price on amazon so far was $599 so your price NIB is a steal.

Bestbuy has the R-112SW listed on their site. Not alot specs about it.

That's because they have it listed on the "marketplace" aka third party sellers. Crutchfield has the most reviews, even though there's only four haha http://www.crutchfield.com/S-bKbmH8D...e-R-112SW.html

I absolutely love my r-112SW. I don't think it's part of the reference premier, but not sure. I bought mine in November of last year, not sure why it would come put 6 months before the rest of the speakers. Either way, I like it a lot

It's not reference premiere. Or reference II for that matter. But they are the newest out, along with r12sw, r10sw, and r110sw.

Thanks. I just tried it (online) but they said the offer had expired. I wish I knew about it sooner. Perhaps it makes sense to call and ask them (and maybe other Klipsch dealers). It looks like maybe some stealthy sale is going on.
