For the current sales price, they're a very good deal.
I have considered them and have seen multiple comments about them being on clearance pricing at places such as Fry's, but when I have looked recently, they still seem to be priced at $1599 each, which I think is the normal price.

CALL Sound Distributors or Audio Sound Design. IF they have any left, they will give you a good deal.

So does the RF-7ii require ample room between the speaker and the wall? As I mentioned previously, I think I will only have been 6 inches to a foot of room from the back of the speaker to the wall. Any further out and I'm pretty sure my wife would freak out. Also, these appear to be a high sensitivity speaker, so there should be no problem driving these with a Denon 2300, correct?

Yes, they do need a little breathing room, but all rear firing port speakers do. I would think 12" of room would be more than enough. That Denon would drive them easily.

I just purchased a pair of 280fa, 450c and 115sw for 3.1.2 setup and I am thinking about going to get rear speakers for 5.1.4. Klipsch recommends getting a pair of 260f and 140sa but would it be better to get a pair of 280fa in the rear? I guess not considering the price difference and space (although my room is kind of small) would it be better to get 280fa (in case I move one day to a bigger apartment)?

That's interesting stuff (to me)

My niece was born with spinal bifida. She's had literally, countless surgeries and today, if you talk to this 25 year old, you'd believe it if I told you she was 9 (unfortunately)

That said... when she was a baby and small enough to be carried around (today she's confined to a wheelchair)

Anyways, we'd be down at the dock and she would just start crying out of the blue and put her hands over her ears.

There were other circumstances where she'd do the same....but that was the one I witnessed.

Over time, we figured it out. Every time she would cover her ears and start to cry....there would be a jet flying way overhead (as in, "at" altitude, not flying overhead coming down to land on top of us)

Came to find out she was hypersensitive to some (certain?) noises.

She's never been able to articulate exactly what she did or didn't hear or what pain it caused, which is unfortunate. Still, she was as reliable covering her ears as my dogs are to bark when a strange car drives up the driveway. Though unfortunate for her, it was still fascinating to witness.

I still believe they can be founded cheaper then that if they are still available from Sound Distributors , I believe Eric wil do better deal but maybe not must call as always. I bought them from him with center included as well. @gene4ht know what I'm talking about right?

As @Mongo171 and @retro124 have mentioned and has been iterated repeatedly in these threads, authorized dealers are only permitted to advertise MSRP on their websites. The key is "NOT to LOOK" but to CALL the dealers that have been recommended in these threads for the most aggressive deals! Provided there is still remaining inventory...new or B stock...you'll be glad you did!

I must not have gone far enough back through the thread. It can be a little overwhelming. I didn't realize that they were only allowed to advertise MSRP. You learn something new everyday, particularly in these forums. I have reached out to one of the suggested dealers, now the only problem is to convince the wife.

not sure there is a huge difference in price, If you have the space go for it. I probably would but I already have a pair of 140sa that I'll use in the rear with 160f.

I agree it can be a little tricky when you start shop for speakers , AVR and looking for a good deal. This forum is very helpful and it will help you clean up your account very well .

If you need help with convince your wife let us know I can send her happy picture of my girlfriend so that may help.
No seriously if your wife love to watch movies like we do you will not have a problem and she will like it a lot. With those RF-7II speakers you can also say this is it, one time purchase and those will stay.

My apologies for sounding a bit harsh. It is a bit daunting wading through these threads. But yes, due to agreements, "authorized" dealers only post MSRP on public sites. Calling and speaking directly with these dealers will easily and typically yield discounts in the 15% - 20% range. Finding discounts approaching 30% is possible from the most competitive of these dealers. And at model end or close out, discounts will be in the 40% - 50% range. This is where the RF-7 II's are at now.

Klipsch's entire list of UK based authorized dealers is way out of date as not a single one stocks RP-160's or RP-260's. I emailed them all!

Dear Klipsch, please sell in the UK. Thanks.

Oh and your UK website saying "It's better to purchase from us directly" without actually including a way of doing so is a bit of a tease.

When I compare 280AF in front and 260 in back vs. 260 + 140AF in front and 250 in back the price difference is only $250. So I wanted to make sure since most posts that talk about 280s have much bigger rooms.

Also would you recommend 250s or 260s for surrounds, again price difference is only 250
I use 250's for my surrounds and feel like they're overkill as it is, so 260's I would say are even more so.
