I wish I had room in my small 7X14 den for a wide screen projector. With Cornwalls for fronts and 55" LCD/LED between them and a sub it's wall to wall with speakers and a TV. With just 7 ft across and we set 7 ft back with rears 7 ft behind up on the wall and sides (on stands) 3 ft each side of HT chairs. It sounds really crowed for a 7.2 but it's great sounding and the 55" has been great for 8 years now. I keep thinking it will die any day and I can swing a 60" and go 4K. When I am finally done with motorcycles I am remodeling my attached two car garage to my HT/Stereo room then a projector.

You guys have any thoughts on the Heresy III's in a Dolby Atmos setup? Or if its even possible.

I already have a great 2 channel room. Wanting to get back into HT again. Used to own the Heresy's and loved them. Got a buddy selling his 3 Heresy LCRs. But they are about 9 years old. Just not sure...guess it depends on cost.

Hi guys just bought a big Klipsch 7 speaker setup.

RF-7 II
RC-64 II
RP 250S
RP 160M

I usually just resell speakers (paid $3k for all from adorama, I think the deal is over) BUT I am wondering if this setup could be better then y current setup which is a Focal Chorus setup that includes

Focal 836 towers
800c center
806 bookshelfs
816 smaller towers and a klipsch 15" sub.

I know my focal setup is supposed to be very good but I dont know about the RF7's

What would you think?

It looks like the Klipsches will be more efficient, (surprise, surprise), probably play louder. Plus, some of them are made in America, which is cool. Those Klipsches are really good, but Focal has a good rep, as far as I know. My guess this would totally come down to personal preference of which sound signature you like best. Certainly worth trying, everyone here that has the RF-7II loves them.

Only you can make that decision. Since you ordered the Klipsch....just play it next to your focals and decide which you like best. Just make sure you properly calibrate it same as your focals and just play a movie scene or two of your favorites and see which you prefer. Same thing for music listening. Both are great speakers, just both have different sound signatures.

okay guys getting ready to move and have some cash left over for a small upgrade to the sound for my theater at the new house. Right I'm looking to go with epson 2040 and silver ticket screen which leaves me some cash for the upgrade on sound and currently I have all Best Buy Klipsch stuff and wanting to upgrade with my budget now and talking to Klipsch dealer I can either move my R-28 towers to surround duty and upgrade to 280F's or go with 450c w/ 112 sub, or all in on rc-64ii. What would you upgrade first?

FYI looks like Amazon has 20% off on much of the RP line right now. Ship/sold by Amazon, not third party.

Klipsch has the same deal through their website except for the RP-260F is not on sale which isn't on sale on amazon either. Now Amazon has a better deal on the RP-280FA's. They are around 33% off on Amazon where as on ?Klipsch site they are 20% off.

Wish I needed front speakers.

The RP bookshelves and centers appear to be on sale at Amazon only. That being said you can get an even better deal by calling some authorized dealers mentioned in this thread. I got a great deal on RP-160Ms and P-450C from acoustic sound design.

wow nice deal on the series II lately. It's over now, but it had me thinking. I definitely want to upgrade from RC-62II to RC-64II for dialog. But how bid of a difference would RF-7 II versus RF-62II for the soundtrack make? I was told once the subwoofers help with the soundtrack.

Not sure those upgrades would make a big difference, unless you listen at reference. At that point, the RF-7 (or RF-82 II) might be more important than the RC-64 II. I've never had any problems with my RC-62 II, but my RP-260f(successor to the RF-62II) had problems distorting in the mid bass(up to about 120 Hz) with loud music. Neither my RF-82II nor my RP-280f have the same problem. This is everything crossed at 80 Hz. If you want more bass, you can go into your speaker settings, and turn your subwoofer trim up. A lot of people do that.

However, I can definitely tell you bigger is better, and if you do those upgrades, your ears will give up before the speakers will. But, subwoofers are very important to enjoying soundtracks, especially action films.

I have an SVS PC12-NSD paired with a Klipsch RW12D and with audyssey MultiEQ XT-32 it manages the bass really well. My question is more to movie soundtracks with lots of epic brass and strings. Like Star Wars, Neverending Story, POTC, etc. .

Hi guys, i'm happy to say that I finally jumped the gun and purchased a set of RF-7 II and RC-64 II for my home theater system. It is replacing a set of Energy RC 7.1 speakers and the sound is a great improvement so far, the question is where can I get RS-62 ii surrounds? they are discontinued and can't even find them on ebay, or any similar replacement?

Anyone here own the HD wireless system? Might be my only option so trying to get a few answers.

1. Can the little receiver playback Dolby true HD, DTS, and mix 2 channel into 5.1 or 7.1?

2. I see the receiver has hdmi inputs but can it pass through so the family can watch tv without the surround sound and still have the sound come out the tv without turning on the klipsch system?

3. How is the quality?

4. Any issues any of you have run into?

5. Can it pass 4K HDR or Dolby Vision through the hdmi to the tv?

Congrats on the 7/64's! Try calling Sound Distributors and Acoustic Sound Design...they are both authorized Klipsch dealers and may be able to source the 62's. Other than that, continue to watch ebay, Craigslist, AVS classifieds, and the Klipsch forum. In the interim you may also want to keep an eye out for the RS-52II (temp solution til you can find the 62's) as they're no slouches. Good luck with your search!

Something like that. Except, another Jube for the center and an AT screen. Should be fun.

That would be an incredible setup...can't wait to see what you come up with!

Want some help with speaker placement and if I should do front height speakers?

Just switched from focal to klipsch and first impression with just the two mains I made a good choice. Here is my setup.

120" projector screen in approx 13'x13' room size...basement...carpeted.
Denon 4520ci rec
Rf-7 II mains
RC-64 II center
RP-250S surrounds
RP 160M bookshelf ( would be the height speakers) right?
15" klipsch sw115 sub.

My couch is all the way against the back wall...Just started installing speakers so right now only have the center and mains hooked up.

Do the RP-250S surrounds go on the side walls right? not the back walls?

How do you all like the height speakers? or should I maybe go wides? I cant do back surrounds due to space.

Any other tips or recommendations when I do the audyssey XT32?

Thanks

First of all, excellent speakers, I'm a little jealous of your LCR.
Yes, the surrounds go on the side walls. I believe there are issues associated with being up against the back wall, but I don't remember what they are, plus Audyssey should help mitigate them.
I read somewhere that wides provide more of an experience than heights, YMMV.
For just a small amount of coin, you could add these for heights, you don't need expensive speakers.
Right now, they're kind of high at $149, Newegg is constantly running sales on them for $100 and less.

As far as Audyssey goes, I believe current wisdom is to start at the MLP, and run a tight pattern near it of 7-8 positions. If you haven't already explored these links, you may want to before running Audyssey. Or just run 7-8 measurements, and see how it goes.

Hey

Have you had any answers on this? Also looking in to using heritage speakers in a atmos setup.
