You missed all the other posts where he discussed pricing and performance comparisons to SVS and other subs. There's plenty. I'm surprised. I thought you were unbiased and scientific in your approach. You must be getting rusty

I won't respond to the cheap shot, but will say he mentioned all of that AFTER the posts I linked too...Fwiw, if I didn't offer a second opinion he wouldn't have had a chance to clarify his opinion, which btw was not an apt description of what he initially wrote:

I just got that e-mail FastSlappy, unfortunately, they won't have any RF-7IIs, although, the link says up to 70% off! Anyways, I may be calling in today or tomorrow to purchase the speakers. I know others have paid more (or less), but the argument I probably will believe after hearing it is it was worth it. I am just trying to squeeze every penny out of it as I can because I am very cautious about money. Hence the hesitation right now to immediately call and purchase.

I guess I am a boy in a man's game, or just a student not trying to pay much. lol. Back to school work.

So I take, then, that you HAVE done a direct head to head between the ED and the CHT's? Otherwise, based upon your logic you would be posting about something you knew nothing about, right?

And where, exactly should we test...a parking lot??? I play my subs IN my livingroom, so IMO, that is the most logical place to test them.

I have a very oblong room (kinda awkward actually but renting at the moment until I graduate).

I thought about the 64 however doesn't the 62 match the 82's? I read somewhere (not sure if in here) that the 64 is a bit much for the 82's....

does anyone here have any experience pairing the RF-62s with the RC-52? If I don't have the space for the RC-62 would they work well or would I be better off with the RF-52s?

Well, I know my opinion won't be worth a lot but they sounded great to me when I had them out and feel like the RF83 or RF63 would be a much better match. Then again, you can call and ask Klipsch or go by tweeter size. Obviously, I don't know too much of the specifics in that so I guess I took a gamble but it turned out great. Though, the RC62 sounded just fine, I had to boost the level quite a quite a bit (or Audessey did). My seating position was at least 10ft from the RC-62

sounds good to me e2g.

Stu I think you will be fine with the RC64. Klipsch will probably tell you the same thing they told me about using my older RC64 with the new RF7IIs, it will be fine.
One thing to remember too, the RC64 will match better in your situation than mine because they are the same line. Just my opinion.

1 & 1/4" difference on the woofs
sensitivity about the same 1 db difference

Stu, I just fell into this trap and bought a used Rotel RMB-1095 to add to my SC-25 driving my Klipsch RF-5s, RC-7 and RS-7s system with dual subs. You keep reading AVS forums and you keep spending. Thank God for nice commission checks.
