That is actually a relief, as the Powermac by Texas instruments are decent sounding.

I don't know if Dyn has them; but my speakers have a cover or ring, around the driver.

I've seen it referred to as a "beauty cover", or "decorative ring"; but a Google search doesn't turn up much info.

I need some, to complete a build I'm attempting; and when I've inquired about other parts...the manufacture has wanted a fortune!

Anyone have suggestions on a source?

CD - do you have a drawing of one of these rings? I've made aluminum mounting rings for drivers before, mostly for smaller car audio speakers. If interested, with a drawing or sketch, I can give you a t&m quote (I'm a DIY hobbyist, not a machine shop or even a machinist for that matter).

Here are samples of rings I've made before (mostly used as mounting rings, but could be a beauty ring too).

Same rings, black anodized

Largest ring I've made, for a 10" sub

Same ring mounted

Boozer, please sign me up too!!! This is awesome. I'm building the same speakers that CD is. I need 4 in black anodized. I'll let CD figure out the specs. Thank you so much!!!!

Why can't we list equipment in our signature? How odd...

What type of speakers are you guys building? What are they based off of? PMC design/Dynaudio design or just fly by the seat of your pants design. Hey I have heard some decent DIY stuff and I built a pair years ago using Dynaudio Drivers of course!

Is it still possible to buy Dynaudio Automobile drivers and simply do a diy design?

G-man...we seized a unique opportunity; to purchase an authentic pair of FACT 3 cabinets...sans innards.

So...we're rolling the drivers, figuring out the cross-over (Jax is going Hypex active!); and seeing how close we can get to the real deal (for pennies on the dollar!)
