You be able to find an aftermarket "spike"

I had put a mat under mine to keep them off the wood floors.

Coins always works, or perhaps Dynaudio can send you some metal bits like the ones I got with my stand 3x.

The 260s do come with little pucks for the spikes just like the ones in the pic.

That's great to hear! That will certainly work for me. Thanks for that. It'll save me trip to the hardware store...

Is it likely they will come up with something for Atmos / DTS:x ? Are there Dynaudio reps on this forum?
I know the guys there, you could give their offices a call or call a local dealer near by and inquire, but nothing at the Munich show in regards to Atmos from what I heard.

I think this move makes sense. Dynaudio has way too many "series" I wished they had not called the XD's Focus and just called them XD.

More good stuff on the horizon for all Dynaudio fans. Stay tuned more news forthcoming shortly
Or, not. I just received an e-mail from the US Midwest regional rep in response to me mentioning the Focus line- not discontinued for the foreseeable future. I'm waiting for a reply to my question about possible changes to the Focus line.

I think most designers are done with Cherry. It looks great, but I like their Walnut- I just installed a pair and was happy to see that the grain was from consecutive veneer slices.

Although they are Rosewood, the Excite X-12s I have show consecutive veneer slices everywhere you look on all sides of the speakers. I love that attention to detail. My Bordeaux Sapphires are in a class by themselves.

As for the Focus line, I would not be surprised if certain model(s) do get culled, rather than the whole line being discontinued, similar to the fate of Contour S5.4. Just a conjecture, of course.

CD: I saw that last night, so you you have a Xeo or Focus hard tell from that pic? I had to leave the Scientology Thread (Scansonic/Raidho and come back here to keep sane. Frickin disagree with certain people on that thread they just hit the repeat button, the same stuff over and over and over much like Scientology! hahahaha lol Your post on there is spot on, as they are two totally different types of sound. I just think the guys at Raidho and Scansonic finally got a small ribbon tweeter right, most of them have sounded too bright in the past, with the exceptions of some larger ribbon speakers. As for Dynaudio which ones are you trying out?

Been a very long time since I posted in hear, and I happen to be using the Focus 260 for my HT with matching center and some Excite 12 for rears. I almost bought another pair of 260s for my living room upstairs but saw some decent reviews on the Raidho/Scansonic lines, wanted to go with the Raidho but wife didn't want anything that big so went with the 2.5. Nice speaker but when comparing them to the 260, not even on the same level in my opinion. I see a lot of comments on Raidho thread like they are the best thing since Dynaudio hit the market, but I think they still have a long way too go, frankly I wish I would have went with a pair of Excites or another pair of Focus speakers as I think the Scansonics are bright, when comparing them to my 260s.

They look just fine in that room, which has a genuine Nakashima piece mounted to the back wall. They have a Nakashima bench in the Master Bedroom, too.

I think I'd like a pair of X14A on my PC...

No their awareness was a tad off! lol Hey you can't be a Scientology guy your on the internet! Best thing when some one gave me the good old Ron Hubbard book, is I read it realized what a bunch of BS it was and through it in a camp fire shortly after I was 17, sorry but they abolish all free thinking and do it for you. lol

CD: Interesting, I heard they are good but haven't heard them yet, only had the X12s. Your mini shoot out should be interesting, heaven forbid the X14 comes in sounding better and you post it on the Scansonic page. I did hear the X14A at Axpona and they did sound very good, so I suppose same speaker just with an internal Amp etc..

Since I have the X-12s and do enjoy them I'd definitely be curious on the MB-1 vs X14 sound. We already know they will be different and we now know the differences are subjective opinions so it will be interesting on how the minis do. I don't think anyone will change anyone's minds and hopefully the Dyns will "win" the opinion survey and keep most folks happy. Keep us posted!

When he was selling Dianetics, I used to hear him talking about eliminating the reactive mind, and I agree with that- too many people react too strongly to events and things that just don't warrant it but we do need to react, at times. However, when a religion is based on a bet, I'll pass.
