Noble Jose,

I would grab the used ones if it were me. Bear in mind these R series debuted in 2012 so they can't be all that old and speakers age well. If you're the type that feels more warm & fuzzy with a warranty, there's your answer.

You live in an apartment (as I do, though I own the two-family home) so we have to consider our neighbors. A subwoofer should be on a "Sub-Dude" or similar isolation mechanism, especially if you have hardwood or other "resonant" flooring.

As you describe your speaker placement, that is truly ideal for the rear-ported R series. Depending up the music you like, you may not need a sub. I listen to nearly everything so couldn't live without one.

System includes KEF R500 floor standing, R200C center, R100 surrounds, SVS SB2000 subwoofer, NAD T758 receiver, Pro-Ject RPM1 turntable w/ Sumiko Pearl cartridge, Bluesound Vault, Sony BDP-S480 BlueRay player, Samsung UN55JU6500F 4K LED TV, KEF M500 headphones, Sony CDP-CE500 CD changer, MCS System cassette deck. The last 2 items are dust collectors but will work if asked.
