Is that a Q600 centre? I ****ed up and accidentally got a Q200... whoops

I've been getting a crackling from the Uni-Q driver on one of my Q700's (video attached in .zip). I can't take the speaker back to the store as they are 1500km away, so I'm not sure what to do. Trying to find out from the store.

True, and that's exactly why I chose the NAD. It's quite good at meeting those criteria, for a receiver. It beat my Denon handily in all areas except the features-price ratio, but was still worth it to me.

How much of the time would you use the system for music versus movies?
I am purchasing theses in stages. Atmos first. Then surrounds then replace the fronts. My Kef Q series fronts will stay another year. I may not go inwall for the fronts. I like the look of speakers.

can somebody recommend me a pair of small speakers for my surround? i need a very small speakers for my rears but my couch is against the wall and i don't have space in my sides walls, the only option is hanging on the ceiling but my wife don't want big boxes above our heads and for that reason must be SMALLS and with great surround sound resprooduction...

Regarding subs to add to Reference, JL Audio would be the best choice to integrate for music from what I've been able to glean.

KEF In-Wall Speakers

Wondering if anyone has experience with KEF in-wall speakers specifically the Ci4100QL-THX. Looking to get 3 of these for front and center channel and CiL60QS for rear channel. I was pretty set on Definitive Technologies set up, but found these and was wondering how they would stack up vs. the DT in-wall speakers. Any input would be appreciated.

Depending upon how you can position them you have some good choices. With KEF, the T101 is very thin and can be hung on a wall, put on their own bespoke stands or sit on furniture with the included short stands. The speakers themselves are 5-1/2" wide by 13" tall but only 1.4" thick. The attachable "desk stands" add about 1-1/8" to the height and a little depth. The floor stands are small but pricey.

The KEF Egg is also a good choice for compact speakers. The E301 is considered by KEF to be a satellite speaker and the base can be swiveled to become a wall (or ceiling) mount. They're about $200 cheaper than the T101. Floor stands are also available for those.

Of course you can also consider Q100's for surrounds, though they're not as compact as the others I've mentioned. Any of the choices will blend seamlessly with the Q100's you have.

If you like the look of the Q series speakers you might consider just upgrading to the R series in the future, or see what KEF shows for the new Q series replacement at the Munich show later this month. With the R series, you have another option for Atmos with the R50. They'll fit perfect on top of my R500 and I just might audition them soon.
