I was thinking to add a small amp like Emotiva A500 to run the surrounds and take the load off the receiver. I use the system for movies and dot turn it up too much. My room is 20x30x10ft.

Why do you feel you need a separate amp? Are you getting distortion or chuffing at certain levels?
You could try setting the crossover for the 300's to 90hz and 100-110hz for the 100's and 800's. This would help both the speakers and the amp considering you have very capable subs. FWIW, I have my Q100's set at 90hz and 200c at 100hz. Never had any chuffing and sound best that way. Don't be afraid to experiment.
