Has anyone found a good center channel speaker stand that works with the CMC2 S2? Because of where my screen is mounted, the stand needs to be about 14" tall maximum. Pretty much the only one I have found is this one by VTI:

http://www.standsandmounts.com/vtidf...anddfc-19.aspx

That one looks okay, but I was hoping for something nicer. Those out there that have a big B&W center channel on a stand, what are you using?

At this point, as long as it fits the CMC2 S2, I would take recommendations for low-profile furniture as well

I also have the CMC2 and I use http://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpa...=960&keys=keys

Works well and when setup with the rest of the speakers/subs it blends right in and looks great.

***EDIT*** Oops, I didn't see your requirement for 14" before. I think this one is 18".

I've been out of the speaker game for quite a while, as you can tell from my equipment, but I am considering upgrading from a 7.1 to an 11.1 setup.

Currently, I have B&W 603 or 604 full tower speakers for the L, R, LB, and RB along with a pair of DS3 for the LS and RS.

I would like to upgrade to an 11.1 setup while keeping all my current equipment in place and avoid having to wall mount any additional speakers unless there is a noticeable quality difference in doing so.

At the moment, I am looking at Pioneer SP-T22A-LR to avoid wall mounting:

https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/P...ers/SP-T22A-LR

And SVS Prime Elevation, which probably would involve mounting:

https://www.svsound.com/products/prime-elevation

Is there any issue with using either of these speakers with my currently equipment? Are there other alternatives I should be looking at?

Thanks!

It's a very nice setup but the acoustics seems to be quite terrible for the speakers of this kind - this is basically all glass from behind and to the sides right? There'll probably be a major improvement by placing a diffuser (can be nicely designed) in between the speakers, a good diaphragmatic base trap behind the speakers and diffusers at the early side reflection points.

Hi all,

Quick question. Does the CM10S2 plinths add any type of decoupling properties besides look good on the CM10 S2's? Or is it better to use true decoupling like the IsoAcoustics GIAA isolation feet? I am using Auralex Subdudes II to decouple these speakers but I may need to move them when I set up my 7.2 setup and place the LS and RS on the sides of my couch and I need the height the Auralex Subdude II offers for my setup. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. I understand buying another pair of Subdude II platforms is the easiest and most economical method however, my CM10 S2's are worth it. :-) Thanks in advance all.

I run an Onkyo AVR that has 135 watts per channel, and I use the Audessey set up.

I recently had to reset the AVR, and had to do another Audessey calibration. When done I noticed all my speakers were set at varying db settings, which you expect, but they were all set in some degree of negative gain. (for instance left from was -4.5db)

So I found the speaker with the highest relative db setting (-2db), and I raised all the speakers by +2db.

Perhaps I am imaging it, but it seems the CM 10's are much livelier at all volumes?

Anyone have any thoughts why the calibration would have all the speakers at various level under 0db? Doesn't make sense to me.....
You were correct in boosting the volume levels. You never want to leave the level settings at what audyssey sets. Ideally you need a sound level meter. Run test tone on front right or left, set speaker level at 0 in speaker level menu, turn up main volume on the avr until that speaker is reading 75db on meter, then adjust rest of speaker levels to also read 75db.

Basically, it doesn't play Metallaic Enter Sandman with the oomphf that I want especially when there's heavy guitar strumming going on. It's almost focused too much entirely on his voice versus the guitar and tone. It plays it well, detailed, clear and concise but it's a bit too forward for my type of music.

Adele live, on the other head, the KEFs does great.

This is also the reason why I find the LS50s sound amazing especially when paired with acoustic or vocal songs, or saxophone but if you want to dance to Daft Punk or Trance with a lot of complexity, crescendos and build ups, it doesnt make me want to rock out. Just a feeling that's preference to me
So buy these: http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/c...y#.WLIkiBD9owI
