Has anyone ever listened to either of these speakers, or their respective center channel? They seem hard to beat at the price, and I am wondering if I should take the plunge. A pair of DV64s and a center is around $210 and a pair of DV84s and a center around $270.

Rule #1 of buying or looking for speakers is "stick with reputable brand names".

Well, BIC is very reputable, but I would like to make my decision based on a little more than just the fact that its a good brand.

Too bad no one has come forwatd to answer the OPs' question.

Abundant OTA television is what makes this country different from all others. Lets keep it this way.
The Internet is no place for streaming video.

I Have Owned The 64's And The 62si Center Channel, And Out Of The Box They Sound Terrible But I Sent My Crossovers To Ed Frias Who Modified Them And They Sounded Great After The Modification Deeper Lows Not As Bright Sounding And They Also A Tighter Midrange. So Before The Mods Not Worth It But After The Mods A Much Improved Speaker For Only A Little Cash. As For The 84's I Have Heard Them But With The 8' Bass Drivers They Sounded Muddy, But Frias Will Nod Mod Those Speakers Anyways. For More Info On The Modifications He Does Too Bic Speakers Go To Audioreview.com And Look At Some Of The Bic Speaker Reviews. HERE IS HIS INFO

Using a capital letter for the first letter of each and every word makes it very hard to read..................

I know this is a long dead thread but I am thinking of purchasing a BIC setup but only if I can send them to Ed Frias for mods. Is the e-mail address contained in this thread still up to date? Does anyone know??? Help!

I'm in the same boat...

Trying to decide between the DV64 or the Polk Monitor 60s.

Anyone?

Yes, that email address should still be good. That is the one Ed gave me during phone conversation about a month ago.

BTW, back to OP, I have read many good reviews for the BIC speakers even before crossover mod. I'm sure no one will argue that these are "audiophile" quality speakers, however many people do consider them to be decent, especially for home theater use and for the price. Kind of subjective, I guess.
