I've done some extensive listening to the Kef Ref 201s about a year or so back. If I had the money or opportunity to buy them, I would in a heartbeat. These are very clean sounding speakers. In that, I mean they just sound natural and very clear. They don't sound bright or muddy, or anything else expect neutral and clean. I listened to a variety of music on them in 2 channel mode. They were driven by a Fosgat Audionics amp at time and were receiving plenty of juice. It's hard for me to describe just how much I like these speakers. Everybody has their own opinion. Naturally, if you have a chance to listen to them, then definitely do! But, if you have to buy blind, then I wouldn't second guess taking the plunge. Not sure if you're looking for a sub as well, but there are definitely better values in subs out there than KEF. Good luck!
Also, I would put these toe to toe up against B&W Nautilus any day of the week as well. I might catch some crossfire with that statement, but that's the way I feel.
