None at my end after many years

Per UPS tracking, my Verus II Grand Tower Speakers are scheduled to arrive during Friday March 3rd. However, I was mistaken about the towers they will replace. After buying the new speakers, my interest in revisiting the spec's. for my current speakers & AVR was renewed.

Come to find out the Intimus Towers I purchased during 2009 are the 6T's. I also have a 6C Center, (2) 5B Bookshelf's & (2) 5D Dipole/Bipole speakers.

I used to have a Bravus 12D Sub, but it crapped-out while under warranty and at the time Aperion could not replace it so they refunded the full MSRP for that item. Instead, I have an SVS PB-13 Ultra Subwoofer.

I'm running my speakers w/an aging Pioneer SC-07 AVR that is still working just fine. So what do you recommend I do regarding my set-up when my new speakers arrive? Move the Intimus Towers to the back surrounds? Drop the 7.1 w/Dipole/Bipole speaker configuration for 5.1?

Here's the way I would attack this.

Put your new towers at the front, and enjoy the better sound and finish
Move your 5B Bookshelf's for back surround duty.
Keep the 5D Dipole/Bipole speakers, for side surrounds duty
and when possible, change your 6C Center to a Verus Grand center.

Sell your 6T's for what ever you can get, way over kill and not much use for surround.

And for the Bravus 12D Sub crapping out, and now own a PB13 Ultra, look at it as a blessing from the Gods of Audio

Love my Aperion speakers, but sub wise, there are more better offering

Other than for stereo music sound reproduction, I've always been satisfied with my Intimus 7.1 speaker system, which is the main reason for purchasing the Grand Towers. My understanding is the role for the center speaker is to focus dialogue for a HT system so I'm curious what else, if anything, will upgrading the Center speaker provide?

I wish I could, but I don't see much resale value for them; especially when factoring in the shipping cost if necessary. My speakers are in pristine condition and their MSRP was $695/$1390 during 2009. I guess I'll pack them away in the Verus cartons & store for a future use or just give them away to a deserving friend or relative.

I agree completely. Given the stellar quality of their speakers, I'm surprised Aperion Audio does not make a better sub. I've never regretted buying the SVS & when the subwoofer gets to booming the base sound it emits can be massive at times.

My assumption is some form of dyslexia must be the reason.
