Come to find out the Intimus Towers I purchased during 2009 are the 6T's. I also have a 6C Center, (2) 5B Bookshelf's & (2) 5D Dipole/Bipole speakers.
I used to have a Bravus 12D Sub, but it crapped-out while under warranty and at the time Aperion could not replace it so they refunded the full MSRP for that item. Instead, I have an SVS PB-13 Ultra Subwoofer.
I'm running my speakers w/an aging Pioneer SC-07 AVR that is still working just fine. So what do you recommend I do regarding my set-up when my new speakers arrive? Move the Intimus Towers to the back surrounds? Drop the 7.1 w/Dipole/Bipole speaker configuration for 5.1?
Here's the way I would attack this.
Put your new towers at the front, and enjoy the better sound and finish
Move your 5B Bookshelf's for back surround duty.
Keep the 5D Dipole/Bipole speakers, for side surrounds duty
and when possible, change your 6C Center to a Verus Grand center.
Sell your 6T's for what ever you can get, way over kill and not much use for surround.
And for the Bravus 12D Sub crapping out, and now own a PB13 Ultra, look at it as a blessing from the Gods of Audio
Love my Aperion speakers, but sub wise, there are more better offering
