I bought my first pair of Infinity speakers (Overture 3s) in 1998 without hearing them first. They were absolutely beautiful and the price was so right. I know that is regarded as heresy around here. But...I loved the sound right off the bat. They were so much better than the Phase Tech towers that they replaced. My second set of Infinities were also purchased unheard. One of the glories of Internet shopping, I guess. I have yet to go wrong with the brand.
It's entirely probable that there is another brand out there that would sound better in my room. At this stage of my life I just don't care anymore.
Infinity speakers have always given me a very natural soundstage. That their better speakers can be had at a very reasonable price is remarkable; astonishing, really.
