Went online to Gallo to purchase either the D'Avia 5.1 or the Micro SE 5.1 systems, but Gallo says neither one is in stock. Then checked out just the purchasing two D'Avia's or two Micro SE for use as rears, but got the same answer, not in stock. Anyone have any idea why Gallo wouldn't have stock?

Could be due to a transition stage. Received the following e-mail from Anthony Gallo earlier today:

BIG NEWS!
July 20th 2016

Dear friends and partners,

After 22 years of designing and manufacturing innovative, award-winning loudspeakers, we have taken the decision to hand the reigns to a new management team in the shape of NWX Group, our long-term European distributor.

The audio marketplace has changed enormously since our foundation in 1994 and continues to evolve at pace, offering new challenges and opportunities. We believe that in order for Anthony Gallo Acoustics to grow and flourish, a fresh injection of resources and new ideas is necessary.

We have worked closely with NWX for over 14 years and they have been AGA’s single biggest customer throughout this time, they share our passion for the AGA brand and we believe that they are ideally placed to take the business to new heights through a combination of creative marketing, a strong commitment to dealer support and an ambitious product development roadmap.

The new owners have extensive experience in high-end audio distribution and manufacturing, their acclaimed REVO digital audio brand (www.revo.co.uk) is sold around the world and is the recipient of multiple Red Dot product design awards and What Hi-Fi? magazine Product of the Year accolades.

NWX have taken control of the assets of Anthony Gallo Acoustics Inc. with immediate effect, operating from the two locations below. We anticipate that production of all AGA product lines will recommence shortly, in the meantime should you have any outstanding back-orders, warranty or service requirements or more general enquiries please contact Dan Sawyers (North America) or Stephen Pitt (Europe/Rest of World).

Well, that certainly looks like the reason. Now, how long before I can buy those speakers...?

How to repair these little ones now?

I now have the parts, especially the locking bolts.

How do I remove the threaded part of the long bolt that attaches to the actual driver, it seems to still be in there.

Has anyone had the locking long bolt that screws into the driver break off?

All require the locking metal bolt to lock front to rear, all screws etc.

Pictures are attached

Can anyone please help
Thanks all

Well this sertainly is bad news. I have grown to like my ref3.1+strada+Adiva 5.1 combo.

Does it mean no more quality orb speakers in the market?

Allso replacemet or repair parts are going to be hard to find?

Cant imagine i would ever want box speakers around the room.so the choises are growing short.

Hopefully these last couple decades more.

I've been doing some measurements of a pair of Strada 2 speakers as part of attempting to get a seamless x/o to subwoofers. A feature of all the measurements is that there is a raspy noise around 1000Hz - sounds like a sssh. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Is it related to the x/I from mids to tweeter?

Are you using Strada stands? Asking because I found an issue with the plastic covers on the top back of those stands that caused a buzzing sound similar to what you describe. If so, remove the covers and see if that helps. If not, then never mind.

Interesting. I'm using the desk-top stands and don't see any labels on the stands themselves.

I'm referring to these Strada stands:

I do have a center Strada and use a tabletop stand for it, but haven't had any issues there, so doesn't seem relevant to your problem. Sorry, no help.

Thanks. Out of interest, I'm seeing rolling starting around 120Hz despite the re-enforcement of the desk. This is a bit different to the 80Hz that I've seen mentioned in reviews and, with localization of the subs being an issue, I've had to put stereo subs on the desk. It is all working well but I'd be interested to find out if anyone has got the Strada 2 flat to 80 Hz without EQ.

Anthem ARCM1 recommends Xover 110hz for Strada2 center. So i think below 100hz would be pushing it.

My Audyssey xt32 enabled AVR (used as a pre-amp) sets Stradas (original) to 150Hz using tall speaker stands (1m away from the walls) and to 120 Hz for on-wall setup. I use two 12" SVS sealed subs to get 2.2 full range stereo imaging.

To avoid localisation issues above 80Hz I put subs next to Stradas.

Thanks. So similar to my finding and same idea of using co-located sub-woofers.
