Probably a near field measurement. If you have an REW setup then that's all you need. But I don't know what its response should be either.

Apparently, DTS demoed their new DTS:X technology using Vienna Acoustics speakers. What an endorsement!

Clearly, the ceiling mounted speakers must be Haydns (why not Waltzes?) but can anyone tell which tower they used? You can see the setup in the last picture of the slideshow near the bottom of the article.

Wonderful review of the Liszt by Ultra Audio. Dying to hear them now.

Wonder when they'll come out with the Imperial monitors?

Need to replace drive unit to original Mozart speaker

Hello,

I am trying to find out whether there are still drive units available for the original VA Mozarts. I have a pair that I purchased new over 12 years ago and one of the drive units (mid/bass unit) on one speaker is behaving badly at mid to high volumes. If possible I would like to try swapping out the drive unit rather than purchasing a new pair.

Is there any source that you know of that may still have these units in stock .?

Have you tried the Vienna Acoustics distributor? VANA Ltd. in the US.

I currently have VA Mozart and Waltz 7 speaker setup and looking to do ATMOS. So I would need another two Waltz or two in-wall speakers. Anyone know where I can get them? Best Buy where I originally bought all my VA stuff doesn't sell VA anymore.

You could ask Vana, LTD where you can buy in your area. eBay has some every once in a while, like 2-3 times a month.

VA makes a line of in wall speakers for this. Strauss series. If you go to VA website, you can enter your zip code to find all local dealers

Thanks - I was looking for the link that used to list the VA dealers for a particular state, e.g., Georgia, Florida, etc. In the past, it was easy to locate on the website.

Googling that turns up a bunch of speaker cables. I don't think that's what you meant?

Its Intuitve Designs newest speaker, I have also listened to their top of the line speaker don't remember the name but its only 95k. and their 10k speaker gamma summits. NICE! NICE! NICE! and the Mosaic speaker cable and interconnects are nice as well, that's what I have and are the best sounding cables that I have ever heard.

Google Intuitive Design speakers they have the summits and the denali and I have heard both speakers and the sound is breathtaking, and I have heard the Mosaics as well. not sure why they don't have the Mosaics on their website? I know they have only been out for a few months though. once I am able to finance the Mosaic speakers these will be the last speakers I ever buy or even look at, they sound that good.

Hey everyone -

Need the forum's help. We are boxing up some bach grand speakers in the original packaging and I am having a devil of a time getting them repackaged. Can anyone provide guidance on steps for packaging them.

I have the foam separators for keeping the grill away from the speakers and they are now on all of the prongs that hold the grills to the speakers.

I put the plastic covers over the speakers with the grills on them.

I then wrapped the cardboard wrapper around the speakers with the opening in the middle of the front where the grills are.

Lastly, I tried to slide the outside cardboard box over the speakers but it seemed a bit too tight so I stopped.

Please advise on the steps!
