How did you get a hold of one already? I don't see them listed on the AA site.

I have a very good relationship with my dealer who does a lot of AA business... I pre-ordered mine in DEC '14 knowing that I would be waiting a long time for it to arrive. Then, we worked it out to get the final version to test in advance and keep it.

Like someone else said, AA is usually behind in updating their website. You AA dealer should be able to order them now.

Not just the construction (mine is gloss rosenut to match my 6Ts), but the performance is stunning.

MTF on a write-up this week, sorry about the quality of the pics (really wanted to get back to Halo 5)...
Any ETA on that review? I'm dying to read it!

Alright, apologies for not having this written sooner. Headed out of town, so my replies to this post may take a few days.

Pics are here

Disclaimer: By no means am I true reviewer, I can’t talk about tonality, blackness, and other subletites like the guys from Stereophile and Sound & Vision can do. So, you get what you get!

I mentioned it in a previous post, but I pre-ordered my Aerial 7CC (gloss rosenut) back in December 2014 independent of knowing what the final price would be. My dealer is Audio Advice in Raleigh, NC, a most wonderful place that has figured out how to keep me buying! They have a very good relationship with Michael Kelly @ Aerial Acoustics and since I had my pre-order in so early, I asked for and was able to get SN: #1 for $4500.00 (before tax)

BLUF: Simply the most amazing center channel I’ve ever listened to (or owned). The difference between my old (and cheap Athena center) and this is pretty ridiculous.

Current setup (for what matters in this review):
Aerial 6T (left/right main) bi-wired
Aerial 7CC center bi-wired
Denon AVR-3310ci receiver (unbalanced)
Emotive XPA-1 Gen 2 amps for all three Aerial speakers
XBOX One Elite

In the box: Speaker spiked feet (x4) with discs, manual, and the 7CC (duh)

Specs (as far I know them from talking with Michael) -
Tweeter/Midrange - Same as those in the 6T
Woofer - In-between the 6T and 7T woofer, I call them the 6.5T woofer
All mounted on a 1/2” thick aluminum plate
Speaker posts - Same as the 6T/7T, gold 5-ways with plastic covers
Size - 24”L x 11”W x 19”H
Weight - ~35-40 lbs

Build quality (10/10) - For those who already own Aerial speakers, you all know how crazy solid Michael’s speakers are built. Yes, the cabinets are built in China, but who cares. The quality he is getting along with the veneer and hand-polishing means that this speaker won’t fall apart and looks stunning. It’s the same quality as the 5Ts, 6Ts, and 7Ts. It’s heavy (probably around 35-40 lbs), solid, and a beautiful curve to the top.

Sound quality (movies) - No score on this as I don’t have enough experience with other center channels to compare. All I can say is wow, this thing is magnificent! I have not adjusted the treble or mid knobs on the back and am running it unbalanced right now. Watching Pacific Rim, Blade Runner, and Max Max: Fury Road all on blu-ray has been a treat. Dialog is crisper than ever and incredibly full. The frontal soundstage is exactly what it should be. Inspiring highs, silky and smooth mids, and solid punch from the woofers. Amazing depth from left to right, so many more spatial details than I normally have heard.

Sound quality (TV) - Amazing job here too. Both F1 racing, football, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc all sound fantastic. Some comments as during movies. Even compressed audio via 5.1 over TV and streaming still sounds stunning.

Sound quality (gaming) - I just got my XBOX One Elite in and have been playing significant amounts of Halo, Call of Duty, etc. Again, simply stunning in what this speaker can do. It seamlessly blends in all audio tracks and effects effortlessly. Gameplay is significantly more enjoyable these days.

Overall - Well worth the price (and the wait!). If you have Aerial 6Ts or higher, this is a MUST buy if you have your speakers in your home theater. I’m told the CC3 was a stunner, Michael says the 7CC is much better. I certainly believe it.

Awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to write that. It just makes me all the more excited to get one myself! I had a CC3 in the past, so that's terrific to hear its an improvement and not just a tonal match to the T series.

Stereo Design, the local Aerial Acoustics dealer in San Diego, recently posted a YouTube "video" of the black version of the 7CC. It gives a GREAT profile shot of the speaker.

Here's the link:

Oh great pachieh, I was resisting the temptation to get the 7cc and you had to go and do this write up. I have a cc3 now and am very happy with it but after your review and MK saying it's a big step up, I just may HAVE to pull the trigger. Merry Christmas to all

Finally got to hear the new Aerial 7LCR on wall speakers in action. They were set up Vertically below the screen w/a 7CC center in between. A seamless soundstage w/plenty of impact. If your looking to set up a dedicated HT these on walls are 5 star performers. You can rotate the tweeters to configure them either vertically or horizontally.

As promised, here are all my ceiling Aerial Acoustics 5Ts (six total) and way in the back on the ceiling my two Aerial Acoustics 5Bs. They look fantastic and once the other small portions are done it should sound as good as they look. My other AA speakers are:

Aerial Acoustics 20T Mains in birds-eye-maple
Aerial Acoustics CC5 center speaker in Birds-eye-maple
Aerial Acoustics LR5 (Wides)
Aerial Acoustics 5B
Aerial Acoustics SW12 subwoofer X 4 in Birds-eye-maple (1 in each corner)
Aerial Acoustics SR3 surrounds
Aerial Acoustics 5T ceiling surrounds X 3 pair

Here are two pics of the ceiling speakers although the light washed out the dimmed star ceiling:

Firstly, thanks for everyone posting their experiences withe the new AA offerings. The reviews/impressions of the 7 series are very helpful.

Has Michael changed his cabinet shop? After talking with him last fall, he indicated all of the AA cabinets were still being made in Europe.

See Michael Kelly's post earlier in this thread: Aerial Acoustics Owners Thread

Cabinets are made in China. The veneer comes from Germany.

Deployment savings, blind luck in some investing, and huge COLA for being in Hawaii. Also a belief that I'll be using the same equipment as well as my old car for many years to come.

I spent the last 4 hours helping a professional photographer shoot my theater. It really highlights all my AA speakers so I'll post all the final pics when he's all finished working on them.

Cheers

Thanks. Must have been the wine talking, not Michael.

Of note...though I am likely preaching to the choir....
He and his company make some of the finest speakers I've heard at any price point. People will miss the 20T from his lineup. If he can improve on the 20T finicky imaging for his next flagship offering (the 20t sweet spot is really tight for me in any room), that could be the best speaker I'll ever hear, period.

I'm fortunate to be using several Aerial speakers, once the T series is rounded out, I'll be modeling up.

Again thanks to everyone posting reviews of the new LCR.

I was wondering if someone can comment on Sierra-2 use on a desktop with about one foot back wall breathing room with nearfield use of about 2 feet away from the speakers?

Do these do reasonably well on a desk?

Thank u!

Fan, you may want to ask this in the Ascend threads.

But yes, it should do fine in your arrangement.

Hi All,
I saw a pic of the 5T in the Ebony finish which looks great. Any idea if the 7t or 6t will add this finish option?
