JACINTHA “Autumn Leaves-the songs of Johnny Mercer†Groove Note GRV1006-2 http://www.groovenote.com/TechnicalInfo.html
I’ve seen here sing in Singapore. She’s a sensation.

VINX “Rooms in my Fatha’s House†Pangea X2-13072
A Sting discovery and produced by Sting. This is what he said,
“I could hear every nuance and inflection of his baritone voice
swooping and soaring through melodies that had me open mouthed…â€

Both excellent recordings and much better with PS Audio P300. Enjoy.

Lyle Lovett's "Joshua Judges Ruth". Maybe the best Stereo recording ever. It's incredible in DTS as well.

Almost everything I have heard from Mapleshade www.maleshaderecords.com
My current favorite is Fallen Angel, most of the artists are "unknown" but the recordings are fantastic. I wouls also suggest the sampler from the Summer Festival.

2nd vote for Harry Connick Jr. - She

Try "Space Opera" by Space Opera released on LP in 1972 (Epic KE 32117). Don't know if it's on CD yet; if so please let me know. This is an electric 12-string guitar sounding like a Byrds/Beatles/CSN hybrid due to guitars, vocal arrangements and songwriting. For a guitar album, it has a dense orchestral sound due to multi-tracking and an unorthodox tuning protocol for the 12-string (string-pairs tuned to 5ths rather than octaves). Can't wait to hear this one via DPL II; already is great on Circle Surround (music mode).

I actually have Harry Connick Jr. SHE!!!!! I originally got it for "Whisper you Name". So I never listened to the complete album. But I listened to the album this morning and you guys are right. The recording is pretty good - really bass heavy though. My speakers and room don't handle bass very well unfortunately http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif I have one speaker in the corner with as much foam board I could find to put right be hind it. The polk audio LS90 don't acurately reproduce bass very well either. I may plug my Mangnepan SMGa in this afternoon.

But help me out. I got this CD used and there's some writing on it ... and I was wonder if this was an autograph? Or just some writing:

Christian McBride, Gettin' To it Great jazz CD. Extremely well recorded, and great mix of tunes. High energy jazz.

No my name isn't kelly. I got it used for $5.99. I think they even took off money because of it ... hehe.

Maybe I'll sell it to someone named Kelly for lots of money ... hehe.

Regardless, I do like the recording.

I do have "The Ultimate Demonstration Disc" by Chesky, which has a lot of good recordings - but not all the songs are of my taste. If your a beginner audiophile this disc is great because it tells you what you should be hearing, then plays the song. Almost like a study aid.

Generally speaking is any CD from Chesky good?
