Was wanting to know if I could put 2 different audio sources outputs on one audio input. Would it be damaging to try and if so is there a simple way to do it correctly?

The reason I need to do this is because I am using audio equipment which does not have the ability to switch remotely i.e. I have to manually do the switch. I would like to just combine the 2 audio sources on one input.

Any help would be appreciatted.

Do NOT connect two outputs together. IN order to have them both connected to a single input you would nbeed to have a mixer or an auto-switcher.

peepsdontlistentome,

I am using a older model spectrum analyzer/equailizer before my ssrcv. The ssrcv does not have a tape or adaptor loop to enable use of outside EQ. I would like to connect my DVD player and TV Tuner into one input on the analyzer/equailizer so I do not have to get up and manually switch the audio input between the two sources.

I knew it would work but also knew it would really not be the best way to do it. Thought there might be a easy way to add something home made in one or two of the line inputs to make it possible without the degrdation of signal.

Thanks
