Is there a device to reliably convert the DD/DTS 5.1 output from my sound processor to a 7.1 configuration?

thanks in advance,

Do a search here under Smart Devices. It should do what you want.

Parasound makes one, but I have never heard it. I had a conversation on this board with one of the guys here here who tried it, but returned it saying that it made no appreciable difference. His setup was very high end with seperate amps for his rear speakers. I am thinking of trying the Parasound unit when my dealer has one.

Mac, Steve, etc.

Are you thinking of something more involved than the Neo/DTS/THX encoding that is done by my Denon 5800, into 7.1 speakers?

Or an equivalent?

What benefit do you expect to hear/receive?

Stew
