I just can't figure out how to remove the old tweeter dome. It's completely flush all around it with no sign of how to open it. Anyone know? Removing the mid-range driver shows it's just the tweeter lead wires going through the top of the speaker so it must be something in the tweeter dome itself that connects it to the top of the speaker.

Judging by the pictures in the link you posted it would appear that they would have to slide forward to be removed. I have the 6.1's as well and it looks like that may be possible, however my tweeters are all still working so I wouldn't want to chance trying it. Hopefully they didn't use glue or it might be very difficult with out damaging the top of the cabinet and or the tweeter housing. Maybe a soft thick cloth on the back of the tweeter and tap gently towards the front with a rubber mallet?

Someone has had to replace one of these before, maybe they will see this and chime in. If you find out how to remove it I would be very interested to hear the results, just in case I have an issue in the future. Good luck.

Steve, the ideal replacement is the select Diva TN28, which is not in the aftermarket. Whether it's a big difference I can't tell you, but HiVi tells me they select all Diva tweeters.

We have some in stock. I also have your email and will reply asap.

Anyone knows about Hivi DIY sets?

Hi guys, I'm planning to buy Hivi diy6.1 but I've no idea what model it is.

Link for diy3.1 : http://www.hivi.us/products/detail.a...00087469714773
Link for diy6.1: http://www.hivi.us/products/detail.a...00087466972977

All I know is that Hivi diy3.1 is a diy model for hivi m3. For hivi diy6.1, I can't seem to find the model. Trying to find a review for it.

Hi all. Long time since I visited this forum.

For anyone interested, I am parting with my Rosewood 6.1, R3, C3 strictly for financial reasons. Chicagoland area.

This thread is dead but I am happy to say I added a C3, R3s, and 2.1s to my Swan collection. Just waiting for then to arrive safely.

Glad to see some activity on this thread. I also have 6.1s, C3, 2.1s, and R3s in my setup since early 2000s. I've been quite happy with them.

You guys aren't kidding! It's been years since I've been back in the thread. It's a shame that no one has picked up the mid-tier offerings that Jon used to sell. Crazy that its been 9-10 years that I've bought these and posted here.

For the R3, should speaker A or B be on the right side? And I mean the right side from the viewpoint of the person looking at the TV. Does anyone have the speaker guide that came with the R3s? My used pair did not have it.

Speaker B would go on the right, though allegedly not all sets are wired to make a difference.

I'm looking for a set of rosewood R3 if anyone has some available.

Ha - I bought a used set of R-3's at least 5 years ago & never knew there was a potential right/left designation. I checked my placement and by sheer luck had the correct set up for L/R. I've always enjoyed the look & sound of the R3's - I wish there were more Swan options available in today's marketplace.

I'm still happily using my F2.2 of 6 9 years. It has kept up with all my many upgrades in amps, dacs, cables etc. and continues to impress me with newfound capabilities each time. Shows that it's up to the task with the best electronics now or in the future as technology evolves.

Not much else to say...no regret at all getting it, and no thought to move on to another speaker

I have been using 6.1s since 2009. I was lucky enough to get them for 600 shipped used. I got a C3 for 200 on ebay about 3 years ago, and am still yearning for a set of R3's. I am making a SUB using the hivi SP10.

I still have my 6.1 Swans (7.2 setup with custom subs) and still love them! They are as beautiful to hear as they are to look at. Only problem is that the original Swan logos have curled with time.

They had a pair of huge high end Swans (I forget the model) set up and a few smaller models in another room. The representative had no music playing and was talking quite a bit about swans presence in the US. He commented on needing brick and mortar dealers and the fact that Swans were getting a reputation for being cheap Chinese speakers and they needed to bring up their image. Long story...the guy rubbed me the wrong way and I was just sitting in on the conversation. I remember thinking if this guy was to become a major proponent of HiVi/Swans in the US things aren't looking good for them. Not to mention when he finally did put on some music the setup clearly was not right, no bass and it seemed as if he was foreign to audio equipment. The system sounded very weak to be polite. He was very flashy used car salesman like. Ok enough about that.

I hope someone like Audio Insider comes into play to bring Swans back to life on the entry to mid level. Cleveland Plasma has been a great asset in the HiVi/Swan community from everything I have read. Thanks CP!

I love my Swan Divas and DIY HiVi drivers.!
LOL, Cleveland Plasma sounds like a blood bank or something

Wow I was just researching Swan last night because of some DIY Amazon listings I found, and now it seems Swan has just majorly updated their website today! Does this mean a return to the US?

swanspeakers.com

link to their home theater section.

copyright says 2017, and it looks very new. I actually tried to buy a center channel from them, but I don't think they have all the kinks worked out yet. When i went to enter in my shipping address it said it couldn't find a delivery service or something. customer support works though, i got an email reply from one of their guys who is currently looking into the problems with the site.

2017, the return of swan?
