Is Jamo S-35 System Any Good?

I am considering getting the Jamo S-35 speakers for use as height channels in an Auro-3D setup:
http://www.amazon.com/Jamo-S-35-HCS-...=jamo+speakers

My main speakers are Paradigm Active 40, 20 and ADP. I like that these are so small making mounting easy and the omnipolar design,

Will this be a good match? Thanks

Anyone hear the D 600 THX speakers? They look halfway decent and are dirt cheap for a Ultra 2 certified speaker.

Wondering if anyone has actually heard them. I have not been able to find much about them online.

Just got the Jamo C91 to replace my old Jamo A102. Do you think this will improve the sound quality?

No idea. I can't find any reviews on the new line of speakers other than a couple on Amazon. I ended up buying a pair of 15 year old Jamo 68 3 way bookshelf speakers instead. They sound great and I got them for a mere $100.00. They are considerably better than the Jamo C601's I had been using for a couple of years.

I just got a good deal on Jamo C91 and bought them. They sound great even at high volume. Much clear than the small Jamo A102 speaker set I used to have. Can anyone recomend any good AV Reciever to go with the new Jamo C91s? I currently run them on a Yamaha RX-V475 5.1 mode. Should I go for an upgrade?

Hello to Everyone
My setup
Jamo classic 6 with center 160 all connected to denon AVR1611. I was afraid of overheating the Denon with those 4 ohm speaker but till now everything is okay.
Do you have some experience with this kind of connection ? Should I be worried?😓

I'm also searching for surrounding speakers for my system any suggestions? I was thinking about Jamo-Surround 200 but they are unavailable. Some alternative?

Thanks in advance

i have bought E 570 old speakers used, i need to find a centre channel to timber match , i believe the exact match to it is Jamo E5CEN5: CENTRE CHANNEL SPEAKER. but its extremely hard to find now used in india. if i use a C09 or C10 instead its would not be a timber match?.Could any one advice. how about the E 6 CEN instead this is ported vs the E5 which is sealed.

I know it's been discussed in this thread before but there are so many comments to go through, so my apologies, but what is the general consensus on the Jamo S426 HCS3 system? Gibby's has them for $180 and I'm looking for an upgrade from my hand me down Mirage Omnipolar speakers. I've heard mixed reviews on them and I'm not expecting to get big sound from them, just something to fill out the basement, I don't want to break the bank either. I'm going to be picking up a Denon AVR-S710W (maybe the 700W as a bundle on gibbys but I hear they're known for display failures). Would the speakers be useless with that receiver?

I should mention I'm in Canada so with the dollar it's hard to venture into US sites and I'm mostly looking for a home theatre system, not much music going to be played

I recently acquired a pair of E550's and can't seem to find much info on them (other than the C-Net article). Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on them?

Got myself a pair of J110 subs a while back. These and the 112s are tighter and more precise than SVS 2000 series, and though the 110 in particular doesn't look like much it moves some serious air without lagging.

+1 on this......just got my j110 for $249 on woot.com.....great sub and I'd say you'd have a tough time telling the diff between the j110 and the r-110sw....

That's a great price! On this side of the pond and neck of the woods those kinds of prices can only be had from Germany or The Netherlands. Got mine in black for perhaps $300 each (high quality cable included), seeing suggested price locally would be $600 a pop. Whites could be had for 275.

You actually A/B:ed the Jamo and the Klipsch then? Never got the chance to myself but according to Area DVD (via Google Translate) their opinion was the Jamo actually has the edge on the Klipsch in precision and rated 1Hz lower. But obviously they're about the same size, feature identical amps and the drivers are of Klipsch propriatory designs so I'm sure they're very much fruits of the same tree.

I haven't A/B'd them side by side, but I have a buddy who has a klipsch 112 which def moves more air (obviously due to it being a 12" and not a 10") but in terms of quality, it'd be hard to tell a difference.

The rest of my speakers are Klipsch as well (synergy series) so my sub has fit in quite well....i'd give it 8/10...

I can tell they would as they utilise same material woofer drivers. You mean in aesthetics or in performance?

Would have been interesting to A/B the two brands though, I think. Jamos are supposed to be quite neutral throughout their range, a bit like SVS subs in this respect, just not as subsonical. Klipsches are supposed to be peakier and have more slam to them.

I so wish Jamo would make a 15" corresponding to the Klipsch 115, but perhaps they figure the ample amount of push would be more apt to the Klipsch brand.

In case I didn't say: I'm a fan of the skids on which these subs rest as these seem to decouple the sub from the floor in a rather positive way.

The only gripe that springs to mind would be the auto-on which produce a very audible pop at power-on. And these beasts being so loud the input sensitivity is a bit compromised from having the input signal set so low. This means they go into energy-save mode halfway into a movie and is then brutally turned back on in climactic scenes.

Picking up a second set of Jamo c607's for my current HT running 2x c607, 2x c603 and one c60 cen. Are the c607's overkill for rear or sides?

I don't have idea about C607, but I'm using C103 for surround, and I'm happy.

I know there's not much going on here at the moment, but I have to say I think I might have a sickness. I got into Jamo speakers back when the S606 set had just sold out at Vanns. Since I couldn't get those, I scoured ebay and craigslist till I found a pair of Jamo 507a's. Wow! Beautiful and beautiful sounding! I have since found and hoarded a pair of 707i, 407a, center 160, 2 center 200, 3 d500 lcr, pair of cornet 195, 165, 145 and surround 200 plus a d5sub. Like I said, I may have a sickness...
