I was planning to go today to buy myself 2 rf-82'2 for fronts and 4 rf-62's for surrounds, and the only thing still left on my mind is, can you have too much speaker? Can they truly over power a room, or as long as they fit right and you play them at the right time, then everything is all good...?

A very small room will be overwhelmed by a speaker that produces too much bass as you won't be able to move them out far enough from the wall to obtain a balanced sound. That's the only thing you really need to worry about. Mids and highs will not be a problem.

my first concern would be how close to the walls it would be due to the size.

Try putting a pair of Von Schweikert VR-11's into a 8x12 room and then ask that question.

I am not really sure how close to the wall...I mean I would think near it, but not against it
