Nuance,

Hoepfully your new home/room will start out on the flatter side and you can EQ from there. Looking forward to your move and next venture. As I have told you in our PM's, I am very open the entire month of February, we had discussed maybe the 2nd or 3rd weekend possibly?

Yes, the 2nd or 3rd weekend works for me, but we waiting on Patrick. He's te host with the most (subs).

OK, OK.... wow you guys are a bunch of nags... So a Subwoofer shootout this time for the WAC (Wisconsin Audio Club) at my house.....

How about we tentatively set the date at the 28st of Feb.... last weekend. I should easily have my 3rd Mal-X up and running by then... Then I'll have 3 - 15" drivers (we'll have to figure out which one we want to use) in sealed boxes TC-2000's, Revo, TC-3000 Titanium cone, 3 - Mal-X's, 1 F112.

Terry can bring his, Ultra13, REW setup and help me along with mine. I also have my spare SMS-1 here now.

Brandon can bring his Rythmik..?

What else are we thinking of adding to the mix...?

At the risk of inviting myself.... I would love some sub audition time. Not to add too much but I will bring any of my gear if needed. Sub wise I have a Dynaudio sub500.

Hey Brandon,

I'm new to posting on here and was reading the beginning of your threads,
Did you forget about Lev's A/V in the Third Ward?

He is a Dynaudio Dealer!!!! I know it might be too late just thought i'd chime in!

Have a lot of reading to do to catch up!

I'll make the 28th with my little sub in tote.

I was thinking...since we all have to bring our subs to Patrick's house, I think it's only fair that he carries each of them from our vehicles into his home. What does everyone think of that?

I'll bring my other stuff as well. Should be a fun day.

Sounds like Patrick is going to get the worse end of the deal unless you remove the drivers.

HEH last GTG I went to I lugged a LOT of gear... My entire system actually. This included the 120+lb Earthquake Cinenova Grande amp.... Everyone helped carry stuff in though so no worries!

I didn't even know that existed. Do you have an address by chance? Ultra Fidelis is in the third ward (sort of) so I never thought another A/V shop would be.

These are just my thoughts, but since this is just a subwoofer GTG, is it necessary that people bring all their gear again? Patrick has some great gear, so I dunno if we'll need anything other than the subwoofers and whatever goes along with them.

Thoughts?

I'll be honest here....
If this is going to turn into another one of you having an agenda touting your Dynaudio products and pretty much running the show at someone elses GTG, I don't want any part of it. I'm not about to get into nitpicky anal scenario where one is going to scrutinize down to the cables here....

This GTG is to be a completely relaxed and subjective review of products !!!

Personally I'm surprised that you bring your gear anywhere where other people were going to touch it period. When you brought your speakers over and had them apart, I was about to help you put a couple screws in for the driver and you pretty much flipped out....

What is the purpose of taking a puppy to a dog fight? Dyn subs may be ok for extending some of the bass in music. They are not comparable to numerous subs when deep base is wanted.
Give it the best cable and the others an el cheapo. They will still send it back to the pound.

Signature Technologies have been around for a long time, used to be called Nobis!!! This is the owners (Brian) own line...he also builds tube amps, pre's and mods CD-players with tube analog output section!

Any way since this is an ongoing thread can someone give me input on the Wisconsin Audio Club??? I never new one existed!!!

And the reason I started posting here is because I too am searching for "that" speaker!!!!

OT...

There was an article in today's WSJ which mentioned that exports of audio equipment from Japan to the US were down -61% in the month of December from a year ago. Man, this economy is tough. AV equipment dealers and manufacturers are going to be going bust at a pretty high rate. Circuit City is just the beginning.
