right. Me coming from Klipsch which tend to be bright with the tweeter/horn configuration, and you coming from the Maggies, should tell some on the fence customers something.

OOOOOhhhh Catalysts....

after my short time with the Submersive I'm so impressed that I think the only way I would ever change speakers again is if I went with a Seaton product. VERY expensive though so I don't think that's ever going to happen.

Active 12" Catalysts are the dream, but I would need a lotto win or a substantial sum of money given to me out of nowhere to ever afford them. The T12 seems like the next logical step, but active dsp and 1000+w headroom per speaker intrigues me.

You guys are forgetting the Danley SM speaker which is not much more than the triple 12! That would be the one to try for me!

I thought I would mention this because I thought it was cool (my wife thought it was weird). Yesterday the guy I sold my Magnepan MMG's to came over out of the blue. He lives a couple of miles away and didn't have my phone number anymore. When I saw him I thought awww crap something went wrong with the Maggies and he's mad. Nope, he just wanted to say how much he loved them and wanted to thank me again for selling them. Fastest sale I've ever made, I put them on Craigslist and 2 hours later they were sold.

I hope the guy I sold my Caps to is just as happy, I haven't heard anything from him.

As far as my eD Cinema's I love 'em more everyday and don't miss my Maggies at all - I was afraid I would. Hearing the guy I sold them to go on and on about how much he loved them didn't give me even an ounce of regret.

Maggie MMG's and the rear MMGW pair for 600 total.

I sold the 2 Caps and Behringer amp for 2625 total.

I didn't sell Submersives, those are the subs I currently have - and plan to have for a very long time.

oh, gotcha. Check this thread, I compared them in my room and preferred the Submersive. The Caps are awesome, but just not as tight for music IMO.

Yeah, that's why I initially went with passive Caps. After hearing the Submersive for the 2nd time and then in my own house I just couldn't take it anymore and had to buy 'em. I really think I'm set forever on subs. Maybe someday I'll go really crazy and buy 2 more but that will be a long time from now.

Still awaiting my order, hows everyone liking there setups thus far? Anyone upgrade the 6's and 12's besides MK? That's what I have on order, hence the long await time apparently.

Talked with Alex, and they should be shipped on a pallet next week hopefully, might be delayed again because i added two custom sub setups for inwall setup.

Order looks like this:
3 - eD[c]12 - DE250, H290S horn, Kappalite 3012HO woofer, textured black
4 - eD[c]6 slants - DE250, EM:200S horn, Alphalite 6A woofer, textured black
2- custom 13"w x 6.375"d x 19"h enclosures with e3.8 woofers for in wall subs in my side columns, textured black

Still deciding on amp/crossover for the subs, was thinking using Behringer iNuke NU1000DSP for them.

I have a svs ultra 13 that will be up front with the eD[C]12's.

I upgraded the compression drivers. Didn't think I really needed a woofer upgrade with the dual a7450s.

Just wondering, was there a reason that you chose the Kappalite woofer over the Kappa Pro? Kappa pro has more power handling, is cheaper, and is 97db compared to 100db sensitivity.

thanks

That 3012 driver is awesome, and it is not the sub region that it makes a difference, it is above the crossover or 80hz and up that punches really well. When it comes to midbass it was 3rd only to the dual 2226's from the JBL's and the horn loaded 12 inch in the BFM T-39! Horn load that driver in the T-39 and it might be 1!

I think my T-39's have the 12 inch Delta pro as well which is a good driver. I can tell you that Kappalite 3012ho driver was almost as good without horn loading! This is the reason I want to build DR-280's with that driver! I have no doubt it could be one of the best home theater main speaker for the money and many thousands above! That DR would have the sensitivity from 107-110 dBs with 1 watt and the ability to play 136 dbs! Now having said all this I have never heard the stock 12 from eD but from my experiences so far when you have better sensitivity in a certain range you can tell even during movies. When I had dual 15's with 100 dB sensitivity the midbass was awesome! The 12 3012HO was 100 dbs but a single 12 so it had punch, but lacking some oomph even when everything was flat and at the same listening levels.

Well, for the 2 stands I ordered it's been over 4 months ... I was told 2 weeks.

The 2 12's IIRC was told 2-3 weeks as well. These will serve as my rears. It's been 3 months so far ..

Also, told by ALEX late last week that the entire shipment (stands+speakers) would ship out this past monday 4/23 (at the latest) ... lol ... nothing yet.

I'm not upset about it ... It's just how this company works. I know EVENTUALLY I'll get them, and they'll be a good quality product. Just don't believe them on their estimated shipping dates is all ...

The front 3 12's took 3 months to be delivered ...

I heard carp's ED Cinema 12's this last weekend and loved them. Great speakers!

Too bad he traded out his awesome Captivators for those weaksauce Submersive HPs though...
