I am in the need of a low profile center channle speaker for my Panasonic Panny 42PX60U. I want to put it right in front of the tv, between the tv stands. I would like something 5 inches or smaller in height, and so far I have only seen the Bose Center, which does not come highly recommended.

Anyone have any suggestions, as I have not been able to find very many.

Thanks

Are you looking to replace the front 3 speakers? That would open SOME options, but probably not many. 5" isn't much to work with. If the center that matches your current main speakers doesn't fit, then you're probably going to be best off just going without one. Or, of course going with a different placement strategy.

The stand the tv is on, I really like. However, i cannot put a center channel right below the tv. I could put it approximately 36 inches to the right or left of the tv, but thats it.

This is the shortest I could find. I am looking for something low profile as well.

Is it the standard panny plasma stand or a fixed mount? Basically...can you maybe just put a small riser under the TV stand to bring it up a few inches? That would probably open up a bunch more possibilities.

Mirage Omnisat v2 CC is about 5 1/2" high. I use one here for the same reason; sounds quite good.

You could also look at the Infinity TSS-4000 Center - 4.25" H.
