Ok, im buying the xbox 360 VGA cable - http://hardware.teamxbox.com/reviews...D-AV-Cable/p1/

And i want to hook up headphones to this but i need some kind of coverter so i can plug the red and white cables into something and plug the headphone jack into that and get sound. now what would this converter be called?

headphone is called 3.5mm or mini stereo

not sure you'll find female if that's really what you're looking for. you might need to buy adapters

Might need a small amp of some kind and something to control the volume...

The 360 is outputting a line-level signal anyway. Not appropriate to drive headphones and you won't be able to adjust the volume. You'll need a headphone amp.
